The fanservice galore anime of the season, right from the opening sequence. Probably saw lesser shots of Kazuki with her clothes on!

The typical childhood friend and next door neighbor situation, only that upon being reunited after a 10 year hiatus, the male lead turns out to be king of pervs. Don't see much of a plot developing, but I suppose episode 1 was to characterize Kazuki's violent antics (although she's probably a tsundere) and Yuuji's perveted demeanor. Since the title Tonagura! is short for Tonarigurashi Graffiti (Neighborhood Life Graffiti), I don't expect much else.

Character designs are cute, but the Doumu artwork leaves a lot to be desired. Kanda Akemi, who plays Kazuki, finally recaptures a leading role after a bunch of sister or daughter roles (Kamisama Kazoku, TOKKO, Witchblade), and does a good job. However, Ouhara Sayaka, who voices Hatsune, is totally in her Alicia mode, complete with the "ara ara" line.

What made me laugh the most was in the ending credits where it said: 宣伝部長 辻あゆみ (marketing director Tsuji Ayumi), who does Niina. Wonder what she has up her sleeve.

Typical Starchild title, but I suppose every season needs its guilty pleasure show, so if you're into rampant fanservice, this one's for you.

Hm, the premise is quickly becoming cliched with the "make up some reason to get rid of the parents" situation. The main protagonists being a perv (correct usage for a hentai) and a tsundere doesn't help matters either.

I suppose the setting being in the Kagura house with only the family members present add to the staleness, so I suppose going to school and having interaction with other characters will change that, starting with the next episode.

More than that, Hatsune's "ara ara" line is a carbon copy of Alicia's (there's also Chocotto Sister for a three peat), and a deadpan Hazuki Erino (Akari in ARIA) voicing Marie makes me feel as if this was ARIA turned upside down.

Well, the fanservice bits were toned down, although I don't even know if that's a good thing or not.

if what I saw was right, it looks like Yuuji is actually two-faced - he acts like a decent guy in public, then behind closed doors and alone with Kazuki, he's back to being a perv.
