just one frase, SDF-1 Rules!!!!!!!!!!!

Its funny how they changed the title on the website from Twilight Planets to Memories of Global. I sense possible extension to Frontier, which btw, is a good thing.

I'm still not quite clear on what kind of planet they're on. Luca said it had extremes in the climate, but the atmosphere was breathable. So far it likes like any ole Earth-like planet to me though. What's so special/bad about it?

ReddyRedWolf 2008-07-02 17:52

More like the staff playing with us.

Director: Ha! Did you really think we'll give you that kind of SPOILER easily?!
Huh? Huh ? Mwa HA! HA! HA!
Where's your Macross now?! Tell me! Where's your Macross now?!

CaptGloval 2008-07-03 02:23

Considering that the SDF-1 is in Gallia 4 and there's a New UN Government and its president is in a colony fleet, must've been that
Spoiler for speculation on earth:

I'm interested in this episode mainly for the SDF-1, and to see more of Sheryl's positive growth as a character. Ranka has slipped into the mud thanks to episode 12 with me. :(

Due to a matching of the spin rate of the planet and the solar year, one hemisphere is always in sunlight and the other always in darkness. Basically, if you stay in one place on the planet, the sun's position won't change.

If I remember correctly...

Yes the SDF-1 mystery is the clear thing to look forward to in this episode, also I have high hopes for the Sheryl and Michael scenes. Wouldn't it be hilarious if Sheryl collapses again this episode and Ranka doesn't care, Minmey path full steam ahead!

Minmey's path = Ranka's death as a nice character.
When I watch SDFM I always ask myself "why doesn't a Zentradi just squash that bitch?!?", reffering to Minmay.

Westlo 2008-07-03 05:53

Because Minmei gave them boners... hinted at in the Miss Macross episode IIRC!

That would mean one side would be really hot and the otherside would be really cold. That is evidently not the case. Also, the planet is clearly rotating on an axis in the display in episode 11, so it does have night and day cycles like Earth.

So, what's the deal?

I don't think it was Minmei specifically, but the pagent in general.

Forgotten EP11?

kokweng1 2008-07-03 08:51

a can't wait it out for raw

squaresphere 2008-07-03 09:11

I just want to know why the SDF-1 is there. You'd think they'd let us know some huge historic event like the SDF-1 relaunching in one of those early preview documentaries.
