Loved the episode, which is very faithful to the ln as far as I remember. I really enjoyed the ED aswell. ^^

One episode was enough to convince me they do go well together.

So, there actually was another imouto this episode, but she's not the eponymous imouto that we've come to hate and love. Said imouto is away, with nary a glimpse of her at all in the episode, the episode focusing more on the ensemble dark horse (or rather, cat :heh:), Ruri Gokou aka Kuroneko.

And I, for one, loved this. Maybe I'm completely biased since I don't like Kirino that much and much prefer Kuroneko, so that this episode is just right up my alley. But really, it has things that reminds me why I continued to watch Ore Imo week after week last season. I love to see the impact of Kirino leaving on the group, especially Saori who finally dropped the easy going front and admits she's taking it quite hard, possibly the most honest of the three. She's still hilarious though, especially her matchmaking fantasies (can someone make a gif when she's grabbing her breast fantasizing?) Speaking of, I also like Kyousuke that instead of directly rejecting that, he admits that he does have a bit of an ulterior motive in helping Kuroneko (seriously, the flag for their coupling is raised so high this ep, and I for one loved it).

But it all goes back to Kuroneko, the focus of the episode. Even from just this episode the similarities with Kirino is obvious, both can be rather haughty and prideful, with a very sharp tongue. Still, personally I think she's way less extreme that Kirino in her tsun (just a pillow throw is really nothing compared to Kirino), she actually explain the reason for her behavior which in a way is quite understandable, and the dere in the end is delicious. Just from the title, it seems the next ep will have even more of that....

Oh, and I forgot to mention Sena (isn't that usually a boy's name?). A welcome addition, she really fit right in with the group. I immedieately realized she's Akagi's sister who bought an homoge (thankfully Kyousuke does too) so the reveal wasn't too surprising, but seeing her breakdown and blurting off all those stuff is really a thing of glory, I can't stop laughing throughout that scene. Like Kuroneko said, it really exceeds my expectation. This is what I love Ore Imo for, and I hope to see more of this in the next episodes. Speaking of, when will the next one be aired again?

This has to be the best episode in the whole series so far. Good comedy and also lots of Kuroneko :love:

I had a really good laugh at Sena's coming out scene. You could really feel the impact when she declared the dream she had the night before :heh:.

Sena was hilarious! hahahaha and I feel sorry for Makabe LOL.!

Ruri was her usual kawaii self. Liked how she told Kyousuke the truth about what he was doing. Figures she would be able to get Sena out of her shell. Loled at the belphegor comment because i was remembering the commentaries.

Sena was so hilarious. Can't believe the things she said. Also the bike guy was the president, like how he got tied in.

Saori's interpretations were the best. Especially about what Kyousuke was thinking about doing.

At least Kyousuke was truthful with himself. Th ending was great.

Definitely the best ep in the series imo

Wow Sena is really cute (except for her tastes lol). I would really love to see Kirino's reaction when she sees the posts of what Kyousuke suggested.
Saori was cute as well, I really wish they would make arcs for every girl.

I think the ending was PERFECT to describe Kuroneko

Here comes the flags...

Well, we have Kuroneko as the imouto, and Sena as the imouto's "rival" (aka Kuroneko's former role). Faithful adaptation, quirky Saori comments (Although, well, they're half true...), and of course, the fujoshi. Too bad the anime will only go to end of volume 5...

Well, there's always Season 2, whenever it'll came out (Long wait for Volume 8 with the anime and Oreimo Portable stuff in between...should come out in May but Volume 7 came out in last November, and still probably need 1 or 2 more volumes for enough material, probably end of series also...)

While I haven't seen the episode yet - still DLing - it is quite a joy to see this series continue. :D:D

awww i want a second season now. so many parts in the LN i want to see animated.
It would be a shame if they stopped here. maybe we will get another season when the LN gets around to vol 10

Oh my god... that was so damn funny. I laughed out loud at the gang rape part, and I rarely do that. Sooo funny. I liked how the title referred to both girls too.

HanaKana is awesome as Kuroneko, I mean Ruri, as well. Parts like that really suit her well.

I hope for a second season as well.
