Had anyone read this yet? It seem very good when I read vol 1 =w= the sister is soooooo awesome >_< I personally think that this series have a lot of potential >_<

What's it about, do you know?

I've heard about this, but I haven't checked it out. The MF Bunko label scares me.

In case you're interested about stories with video game relevance, I also suggest 僕と彼女のゲーム戦争 (Boku to Kanojo no Game Sensou) by Shiwasu Tooru. Aside from the very nice art, it's got very good reviews with its four volumes. It's like Haganai, only with games and nice art by Happou Bijin.

I can translate the summary from the chinese summary, but don't expect much >_>

Summary - They are Hikki and Neet and they don't go out of their room but on the internet they are refered to as an urban legend,"genius gamers" "blank" ( Here it uses the character "sky" and "white"[which is the brother and sister's name], when combine it means "blank". ) Those two refer to the world as a "Trash Game." Then one day those two are transported to another world by a boy who refered to himself as "God." This is a world where wars are prohibited, a world where everything is decided by "games," yes, even the borders of a country is decided by "games."Forced by the other race, there's only one city left for the human race "Imanity." Can the brother and sister being the hikki/neet that they are become the "savior" of mankind?
"Now let us begin the game!"

The novel is actually pretty good ~ siscon brother and brocon sister is just too good to pass on as well lol

Here is my summary

NO GAME NO LIFE(MF Bunko J)
This is the story of a NEET and Hikikomori siblings who are also a genius gamer that become an urban legend on internet known as "Kuuhaku"(空(sora(brother))+白(shiro(sister)) = 空白(Kuuhaku)) a legendary gamer who never lost once.
One day the two were summoned to a parallel world where war was prohibited by God and everything will be settled by a game. Be it a territory , life or even a chastity(?).
Will these two hopeless human become a savior for mankind who got chased by the other races till they only have one city left?


I've read the first volume and It's really a great series, can't wait for vol.2

And no this one is not a story focus on video game.
It's about every kind of game such as chess, cards and ETC that play in a way out of common sense.

Their opponents are those inhuman races such as angels, dragons, elves, beastmen and etc who possessed every kind of extraordinary powers. While human have nothing.

Are our protagonists male or female?

The protagonist is the brocon sister and the siscon brother XD




It's that Yuu Kamiya guy, the one who did a bunch of arts on touhou, did drawings for tenma usagi, Greed packet, EArTh~

It's actually quite interesting and I don't want to spoil too much but

I stand corrected then. Sounds like an interesting premise, and I definitely like it when characters who are far outmatched use their wits to compensate for their lack of overwhelming advantages, much like in the manga Mx0. Might give this one a shot.

If you like that kind of stuff you would definitely like this, the humans are like the weakest race in the novel lacking in many special powers the other race have. It's like what the brother said

How old are they and if they're both cons then do they act all lovey dovey all the time?

Who are their hosts in this other world?

Any other romantic developments with other characters?

Yuu Kamiya writing is pretty surprising when I first got wind of this on twitter. I've meaning to follow this, but you guys just gave me more motivation to do so. Guess I'd have to avoid this thread for a while

The games aspect seems very interesting (I mean it even has Chess! Hopefully they have gambling games as well) and the Chinese looked readable for my level. I'll put this on the reading list.
