As long as the dark element from the manga is captured in the anime, then i'll be happy. Plus i hope they use the VA cast from the drama CD's.

ginrai1984 2008-11-16 09:48

i haven't read any off the manga but if it's done by xebec it can only mean one thing,utter-failure since xebec can't even keep content without adding their own awful content!

Iron Maw 2008-11-16 09:52

It finally got one huh? Nice! But, I'm not fond of the production company though.

Chaos2Frozen 2008-11-16 09:56

Besides the usually "Don't assassinate the characters" and "Don't screw with the plot too much", what I want to see is-

1. Uncensored blood and gore.

2. Freaky dolls and bunnies.

3. Balance comedy with dark setting... Kuroshitsuji is one good example of that.

Any bonus would be like,

Spoiler:

But then again... XEBEC?

Uh oh... :uhoh:

Tormenk 2008-11-16 09:59

Wait..Xebec did the first Negima seasons right? :uhoh:

Yeah this is what i wanna see. Done right, it could be very juicy and dark.

& i'm fine with XEBEC on the job. I've nothing against their past works.

LKK 2008-11-16 10:29

I was wondering when Pandora Hearts would get its turn to stand in the sun. It's one of the few major serials currently running in G-Fantasy that hasn't received the anime treatment. This is good news to me.

IIRC, yes sadly.

Deathkillz 2008-11-16 12:47

One thing I will be looknig forward to and hope it won't be one of the things they end up screwing is the sheer awesomeness of the gothic lolita 'feel' I get from the manga. This also includes wishes for some great victorian BGM tracks :D

Yeah i hope they choose the right composer for the job. While reading the manga, i can come up with quite a few who'd fit the job perfectly, though we'll have to wait and see who they go with.

Hopefully when the official site opens, so will information on which composer they've chosen.

I hope they keep the drama cd cast.

They also did a loose adapation of To-LoverRu recently which didn't turn out as great as I hope. The new original material used in the anime wasn't great at all and they streched out single chapters for an entire episode adding filler that made it feel dragged out.

If Pandora Hearts anime is going to be 24/26 episodes then I have a bad feeling because the manga is currently only 6 volumes not enough material for them to use which means lots of filler their going to add... :uhoh:

Who was in the CD drama?

Half of me says yay since even though I havent read the manga yet I love the character design and its been on my to read list for a while. Other half is worried since as stated only 6 vols are out. Course Kuroshitsuji is only at 5 vols and the anime has been great.

We have Junko Minagawa, Azuma Sakamoto, Yukari Tamura, Katsuyuki Konishi etc. All very fitting for their roles --- especially Junko Minagawa as Oz.

Well goodness knows I approve of Junko Minagawa and Katsuyuki Konishi :D Yukari Tamura Im having trouble coping with as Elizabeth in KSS but I loved her as Rika in Higurashi. Im hoping they stick with the cd cast as well.

FireChick 2008-11-16 18:41

Just one question: This show/manga doesn't have fan-service, right?

With Xebec in charge, who knows? :heh:

(cast is wonderful)

Yukari Tamura and Yui Horie together is already enough reason for me.

Leo_Otaku 2008-11-16 19:01

oh wow awesome i saw this manga in Japan a while ago and never got into it. Can't wait ^-^ though all the Xebec comments have me a slight bit worried.
