looking for creepy anime
 

I am looking for anime that reminds of jo-un, silent hill and/or the ring.

Ghost Hunt - that's all I got. It does get creepy at times.

Mermaid Forest has some episodes that are pretty creepy and has a very dark atmosphere in general.

I'll second Ghost Hunt. Also:


Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - obvious choice, but it fits well.

Perfect Blue - Doesn't quite match your examples, but definitely creepy.

Vampire Princess Miyu OVA - Has a good, dark atmosphere.

Requiem from the Darkness - One of the most disturbing, dark series I have seen.

i watched it, and it was good but short

have seen them, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni was the best of them

higurashi is very creepy

school days simple creepy toward the end

Ill recommend Shiki, there are lots of creepy moments in it

I'll suggest Bakeneko and its sequel Mononoke.

Boogiepop Phantom and Ghost Hound might also qualify.

Shigoku Shoujo is quite creepy.

i also enjoy the tomie movies. but they are not scary anymore.
