I'm impressed by the screens.

The jelly "ocean" and cake "mountain" are nitpicks at best.

Someone tell me they played happiness of marionette though.

Jelly ocean is not a nitpick, that's already an Umineko classic

Other than that, and besides the usual QUALITY, this episode seems quite good. As expected, the Rosa torture was toned down a bit though. The sea of jelly was more like a big bubble, and the mountain of cake was a single huge cake saying "Happy Birthday Eva-Beatrice". The spider part was cut entirely.

Otherwise, no flaws I could make out from looking at the screens. Let's hope the actual episode lives up to them =D

Who cares about sea of jelly when DEEN didn't keep in the clapping scene, based on the lack of it in the screens. At least that added characterization/development between them two. And it's not as if the jelly scene was completely removed.

wow this episode adapt ONLY two chapters from the sound It seems an excelent episode (if they used happines of the marrionete XD)

Is there really no clapping scene, or are you just basing it on the stills in the 2ch thread?

I'll be fucking relieved if there's jello sea/cake mountain, because that shit was ridiculous.

Was there any flashbacks?

Why -would- there be? There was no flashback in the original, so why would there be one here?



Also, the clapping scene was doomed to be cut. It is an important moment of characterization, but DEEN tends to cut most of those out. For instance,

The flashback was necessary to make up for the total nuke of the discussion between the adults (people expected a flashback, since they skipped completely the discussion regarding the epitaph).

Now, it looks like Eva found the gold by chance, for obscure reasons.

Honestly though, as I mentioned in the previous post, that's a characterization scene, not a plot-related one. The only thing that needed to be said is that she solved the epitaph, and that was that.

How she got to it, etc. doesn't matter when it concerns the events of the plot.

Don't worry I won't start asking like a nub.

It never comes out on Wednesday so I was surprised (and slightly excited) that maybe it came out early.

That looks like a Clapping Scene to me.

They mean the scene where Beato and Battler are clapping to outdo each other.
