You should try Diet Dr. Pepper. It is excellent. Tastes like regular Dr. Pepper.

As a whole, this episode was used to tie everything up as neatly as they could manage. They obviously had to sacrifice a lot to squeeze everything in, but I guess it wasn't that bad overall.

Some of the changes were understandable, but I couldn't help but laugh at Albion's entire fleet being reduced to 1 pitiful ship in the anime. ^^;

Henrietta's ero-armor suit was a surprise. :heh: Way to raise morale. :heh:

The skirmish/dogfight was actually a lot grislier and harsher in the novel, but the anime did good enough of a job with the atmosphere, so it's ok even if some parts did look a little unrealistic.

Without Louise receiving the Water Ruby and the Founder's Book from Henrietta, though, I was wondering how they're going to let Louise learn her first void spell. Turns out it's "magical symbols from Saito's hand flying into Louise's eyes to brainwash it into her". I see. :heh:

Seriously, Louise gets mind controlled way too much in the anime. What's wrong with letting her choosing to marry/learning her first basic void spell on her own?

Without the portrayal of the power of the rubies and the void treasures, it's practically impossible for the anime to follow the novel now (just catching up would be too much). Not to mention they ruined the Zero too. Chances for a second season (at least one that follows the novel) is looking slim.

Oh yeah, Cromwell was totally pointless in the anime.
Waldo and Fouque were reduced to the Pokemon Jessie and James role too. :heh:

Anyway, series wise, the anime had some really great episodes (generally earlier ones), and some not so great ones (generally later ones). It's a little disappointing as a novel fan to see how it kind of spiralled down near the end, but all the complaints aside, it's still one of the better anime adaptations out there.

The "INU~~~!! *echo*" in the end was perfect though. :heh:

I'm sure cleavage provides some tactical advantage.

I agree with pretty much everything that's been said here. It's a good ending (and a good series) all things considered, but there was potential for so much more had this show been longer.

well the final battle seemed to be so rushed. It's just that everything happend so unnaturally quickly. If they had mangaed to have the final battle last for at least 2 episodes then there could have been some really good battle scenes.

However. Satio didn't offically end up with Louise in the end so the possibility of a Satio/Siesta pairing is still strong. In fact Louise was about to start beating him again cause she found Satio getting a little too close to Siesta while they were talking to each other. Without a dought Satio and Siesta have a strong connection to each other. Plus right now Siesta is the closest thing he has to a human from Earth besides him.
