:heh:

It probably is a good opportunity to remind people, though, that whole episodes were almost totally re-animated for the DVDs, so the "legendary quality" issue is gone. Granted that, for some people, that was the reason to watch the show, but regardless...

I've actually recently been playing the original game, and I have to say that art issues aside, at least the first half of the anime doesn't do too badly at telling the game's story (despite having also added a bunch of para-game stuff that sort of varies in quality). Still playing through all the paths to unlock the second half, so we'll see how faithful it was in that aspect when the time comes.

Now here's a license that came out of nowhere.

So I am curious, back when this series was available, did anyone download both the TV and DVD versions to see both versions of the notorious cabbage?

We discussed this back in the day (you can go back through the thread to check). I bought the DVDs for this show, and that episode was almost entirely reanimated, along with a bunch of scenes from some of the other episodes as well. Suffice it to say, all of the animation concerns were fixed on the DVDs.
