14-sai-no-koi ("Love Fourteen") by Mizutani Fuuka (水谷フーカ)

A story about two fourteen-year olds. Because of their outward appearances and their academic achievements, they are thought of as being extremely mature by their peers. Consequently, they feel the pressure of having to live up to this image. They are both smart, very together and they are in love. But, as grown-up as they act, they are still just fourteen, and their feelings for each other are captured with tenderness and lack of nostalgia, but very cutely.

So I have been following any and all updates for this manga.. it's so adorable it blows my brains out. It makes me think nostalgically of childhood and how one grows up, albeit my childhood was not quite so simple or peaceful.. :heh:

You know, this really brings me back to my junior high years.

We didn't have junior high over in Vancouver, but I can definitely relate to the theme of "acting" older than my age.. And then turning into the act.. Oh, and highschool crushes!

My first love is my fiancé.

Aw! I was actually my fiance's first boyfriend, although I don't know if she'd call me her first love! The Backstreet Boys were awfully popular while we were growing up .. :p

So absolute love for this series aside, I'm surprised they already went "jealousy/rival" route so early in Chapter 7.5 .. :heh:

I wouldn't think much into the rival development, there's so much slice of life cuteness going on i doubt it'll get serious much, like that other guy with the teacher.

Man, those two are really cute. But the absence of "third person" or "love rival" making this romance story feels kinda lacking.

Its just adorable, With this kind of manga I don't really want to see a ''Love Triangle'' or a ''Love Rival''
I think its good as it way it is, I'm more interested how they Develop their current Relationship.

^ I think I agree as well. Considering they're only 14 years old, even if nothing real happens to cause any drama .. their adolescent emotions will cause them. The story after all is about young kids going through puberty! :p

As long she doesn't interrupt the main couple in a horrendous annoying way I'm fine with it.

The author also had 2 really cute yuri manga, so expects the "yandere" lesbian won't have it so bad.

After reading this, i just want to say: "when i was 14, i was too busy playing Pokemon to be in love"
...danced with my crush on stage in the end of the year through....

Hmm ... might even make a decent anime adaptation....

I agree, there are a bunch of moments that can be easily exploited with a great atmosphere.

While the leads are interesting, I'm pretty pumped on what will happen with Hinohara-sensei, trolling is the biggest form of love after all :heh:
