Arknights (Anime Tower Defense game)

Trailers

Gameplay demo

Plot:
Arknights is a strategy RPG mobile game with a fantasy theme, the game features visually stunning graphics, user-friendly controls, a variety of characters from different groups, an immersive gaming experience, a well-crafted, animated plot, and a continuous storyline. Players will start their journey as a “Doctor” rescued by Amiya with memory loss and carry on a journey together along with the activities of an organization called Rhodes Island. Players will be placed in a chaotic world filled with magical creatures and encounter different characters.

When the world starts to fall, people react differently when facing an uncertain future, some decide to die alone, some struggle to live, some searching for light, some stand up and fight at the front, there is no wrong or right in itself, only different positions. Furthermore, all the characters belong to major classes which will influence attributes, skills, etc. Each task will need players to combine different characters into a perfect formation taking into account their skill, cost, and attributes, more stories behind the memory loss and of all the other characters will also be unveiled concurrently throughout the game.

Yostar, Azur Lane's international publisher, has confirmed they will be releasing the game globally.

I'm excited that an english version is finally coming since i been looking forward for this game for a long time since the artwork and characters look great.

Of course, to note, but Yostar might be the same localizer as Azur Lane, the development staff is not. So it probably won't be super kind or anything of the sort that you experience in Azur Lane.
That said, I don't really play that much tower defense and that sounds interesting.

The English version of Arknights will be out in Winter 2019.

Pre-registering for the english version of Arknights is now open.

Plus rewards you will get depending on how many people pre-register.

Hmm, the thing is that Yoster said they would be delaying the JP release until there is more content in-game, but they are releasing the Global version beforehand. So the Global version will be "content-less" in that sense?
I'm not sure if I should wait for the JP release or go ahead and play the English version.

Congrats on getting 100,000 pre-registrations!

Looks gacha AF. I'm starting to feel the burn from Another Eden (too much content coming out too fast, the grind is huge and I've got to finish fishing, character side-dungeons and weapon/accessory upgrades), is it worth dropping for this one?

Also how much time does this take per day?

Just to note, but the only ones that could answer your question are the ones that have played the Chinese verison, since the JP or Global versions have not come out yet.

Preregistration has started for JP version too. At this rate, I think JP and Global might start at the same time then.

According to my Chinese source(s):

The game is purely PvE
Dailies take ~30min and reward gacha pulls (among others)
Stamina replenishes at 1 per 5 minutes, max is apparently 130
Doing a map costs 20~30 stamina
Progress is not locked but very slow since you need to farm a ton of mats for upgrading towers
Most content can be beaten without high rarity units although they do make things easier/faster

3* = can evolve once
4* = can evolve twice
5* = better improvements on second evolve
6* = gets a new skill + passive on second evolve

For anyone who decided to pick it up, send me a friend request. Ginrei#0597

I tried getting 2 6-stars before starting the game, but Exusiai (obviously powerful, as well as cute) just would not appear, so I gave up and just did the beginner gacha and once I got Exusiai, I started the game.
Don't plan to use the male characters, so don't really care too much about Silverash.

I'm using a JP account, so I don't think it is possible. :(

Game is pretty good so far.

I find tower defense games boring by nature and this one is no different. I am trying stick with AK for now as seems take lot of cues from GF including story with lot of potential and nice art. Anything taking cues from GF get lot of leaveaway from me.

I spend 10 minutes/day anyway.

I believe I read someone from Girls Frontier left that company to make his own company, which made Arknights. So it seems there are a number of similarities between the two games.
