Too busy to have watched this myself, but seems like a short 3.5 minute SOL format. Hoping it has enough funny moments for me to enjoy. |
I never watched the Nyarko flash animations, which this is reminding me a lot of (both even have Kana Asumi in the lead roles), but it's fairly interesting. And educational. Plus, any show that ends every episode with a bathtime song is okay by me.
So many five-minute anime recently. Not sure if want...
I didn't think it was all that bad for a five minute short. :)
B-but, I thought it was this Osaka :(:
I finished watching the first episode. Very short and sweet, and I really appreciated Kana Asumi's imouto role. Will continue watching !
I never really get past how crappy the flash animation looks (though Thermae Romae came pretty close) but I have to admit that ED made me LOL.
Managed to sneak in the first episode.
Definitely can agree to half of what Namika says, although that comes from my speaking Kyoto-ben rather than Osaka-ben. |
I swear the tune of that song is going to be repeating back in my head every time I watch this show. (Also, the switching of syllables threw off my search a bit, but I now know who Emiko Kaminuma is. These more specialized shows may not have as much impact overseas as they do in Japan, but learning about another culture is half the reason I got into anime in the first place.)
Wow, minis are trend today?
Anime shorts have been around for a long time, I think. But since CR started picking them up (and some of them started having premises or being adapted from manga I might be interested in, like most of Takeshobo's works or Teekyuu), they've risen to prominence in the overseas fanbase. It's more awareness than any sort of trend.
This show's a little packet of nothing and really shouldn't amuse me as much as it does.
But it does amuse me for reasons I can't quite put my finger on, and for that it gets a pass. |
Yeah ... after seeing ep 2 of this one I also find it curiously engaging. Will keep it for now. :)
The series are really good in slice-of-life way. And then the imouto is quite adorable in every way.
Furthermore, even when my Japanese is as crappy as heck, her Osaka-ben is still amusing to listen to. What is her seal of approval again "Ten ga man wa na" ? |
Reminds me of Oreimo but the opposite... Nice show.
Namika's getting a little bolder in these episode intros. I do think the idea of an umbrella holder sounds pretty nifty. I live in a place known for large amounts of rain, so investing in one probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Listening to Namika and Kaede, I'm expecting them to start climbing mountains soon. Also, if anyone is still watching, two of the fried tofu rolls on the trivia card had the "Yaranaika?" faces. I did not expect to see that.
That umbrella holder isn't really an Osaka speciality. I saw them in Tokyo as well last summer. Maybe it's just a bit more common there or something.
For some reason the dialect just sounds so awesome to me. I always like hearing different dialects in anime. It's a shame they're so rare though. |
I love Namaika's little intros in each episode, you cant tell if she has an incest interest in him or just messing with him.
My favorite was definitely the takoyaki bag strap....
