If spice and wolf mostly deals with microeconomics, then maoyuu mostly deals with macroeconomics which heavily entwined with politics. The nuance of storytelling is quite different though, and they replace witty dialogues with love trangles :p(can't be helped though since unlike spice and wolf, where the protagonist pair is brainy pairs, here, it's the more common brawn and brainy pair)

i really have enjoyed the mangas, really looking forward to this, since is one of the most interesting and original concepts ive seen.

At first I read, humans and demons. So I went meh. Then I read economics and Spice and Wolf and that got me suddenly interested. Then I saw "useless meat" being spammed across 2 pages and then facepalmed.

Seriously guys! You're not making sense! Action/Supernatural Shonen ---> Fantasy/Medieval ---> Fanservice is how I interpreted it.

You could just read the manga (specifically, the "KONO WATASHI NO MONO TONARE, YUUSHA YO" "KOTOWARU!" version) which have been scanlated to get a good idea of what the story entails. :heh:

All three are present, to be honest there really isn't that much fanservice. However, compared to macroeconomics and region politics it seems that a certain character's bountiful breasts catch more attention for the posters here and that's why they're talking about it.

Speaking of which, it's not unexpected but I'm still glad they're making an anime out of this. I hope it gets a good studio with copious amount of budget, for the VAs I agree with most that getting the cast of the Drama CD will be excellent.
