The next generation of the Pokemon series will be released worldwide on October 2013! Also it will be the first Pokemon game in full 3D (with more gimmicks)!

I wonder how many people have caught on to the fact that X and Y is in reference to dimensional axes.

Okay, the three new starter(?) Pokémon look okay, except for the frog but I guess I can get used to it. New legendary bird looks badass and wtf was that deer with rainbow horns?

Oh my... this looks really good. The starters, I don't mind them but I don't think they look good as the last one.

And is the world based around France this time? That tower is a dead ringer for the eiffel tower.

I really like the new battle animations. The semi-Colosseum/XD quality is quite an upgrade from the old moving sprites.

Although it's going to be harder exploring due to the non 360 view of the area. I also hope for customizable Player Characters. O_O

Here's hoping the Fire starter won't end up with Fighting as its second type.

I heard that's its Fire / Psychic.

It took them... 15 years to make the characters shrink to the 2nd to last sprite? :P

The day that people have awaited has seemed to arrive. Finally a serious step forward visually for the series.

On the positive the fire-type starter looks pretty good. Depending on how this turns out could be a good reason to return to the pokemon series after a few years away.

And yes....let us pray they avoid yet another fire/fighting type starter. I'm starting to wonder about the guy who keeps on deciding on that...

Yea I actually liked the fire starter this time. It's been a while since a fire type came out that'd looked cool. It better not just be a Ninetails rip off tho.

Makes sense. My first thought was chromosomes (since I've been reading up on Fire Emblem: Awakening and the whole child system).

I felt the last ones were pretty bad outside of the water starter, but they all had really bad stats and such. Hopefully they remember that, hey, people like to use their starters the whole game, and give them appropriate higher end stat spreads.

And please, god, not another Fire/Fighting starter...

Huh, actually looks.... relatively decent in 3D. Here's hoping game length and such won't be sacrificed for this~ :D

Wow, I'm actually looking forward to this. It looks really nice.

That's reinforced by the Japanese logo, it has the DNA spiral thingy in it.

You know when people REALLY like this game, when there is fan art 30 min~1 hour after the announcement.

^ Well, it's not a big surprise that Fennekin's got a following already.... in my opinion, it's the best looking out of the 3 starters this time~

As a diehard fan of the games, I'm excited fir this I cant sleep!

I can't wait for all the cute fan art of Fennekin and personifications.
