Vote on how we should name the title for the new season of Naruto.
 

Hello. After several private messages that all suggested the title for the Episode Discussion Thread is wrong, (how can a moderator be wrong ;)) I'm now compelled to find out what other Naruto fans think.

Don't just vote. Make a compelling post that shows your thought process. :) Also, I'm open to suggestion to other alternative titles than those in the poll for the episode discussion thread.

I say Naruto Shippuden Episode 01. It marks the beginning of an end to the awful fillers. And it'd be nice to see a change and spread the Shippuden name around a bit =]

Shippuden it has a certain ring to it also its disassociated with fillers while 22- onwards reminds me of fillers which made us sit through toilet humor which targetted Naruto alone . Good Poll :D

Naruto Shipuuden and reset the episode number at 1.

I'd say Naruto Shippuuden or Shippuuden, but keep official episode numbering, since renumbering it will end in a mess.

Plus a major majority of previous eps aren’t even proper eps. Their numbers should be shunned and forgotten about like times of woe...

Shippuuden is a new era! A rebirth. Old and new fans joined in splendid Naruto togetherness. Why allow a load of wretched filler episodes get in the way of a new beginning?

With this new start we can rejoice and forget about curry arcs, and cringeworthy postmen atrocities!

Even if the original series would have continued with the numbers 221+, with 80-90 episodes of highly destructive fillers, it would be really refreshing to start anew here.

No one wants old numbering, the first choice is wining by a big margin right now, I have to say that Syaoran idea is not bad at all.

I think the old numbering is too much of a reminder of fillers. The last non-filler was 135. It would be better just to start over again.

Going on to continue the numbering from 220+ will be a pain. Considering that a good 80-90 episodes are filler it would be like I am acknowledging those fillers as part of the series which I don't. Besides I don't wanna have another DBZ length series where the series will be 300 or so episodes.

It is a new series. It is Shippuuden 01-02. Simple as that...

I guess the winner is already decided.

But, as a note, the secondary name (Naruto -221,etc) might be kept in very small letters just below the main title (for instance instead of the thread-creator name, we see that secondary name). In that case, we can continue the fresh restart without causing confusion on others (although, I don't know why there would be any confusion)...

I would like this alternative:

[anime-only] Naruto Shippuden Episode 01 [221]

just a reminder of what nr the episode really is I would like the [221] to stay. even though it's the firste episode in a new season.
