Currently in Singapore and living in an old apartment.
Aside from having labyrinth like hallway, i feel like kinda in a horror movie set...

@aegir
Do you meet a mermaid?? :p

So this is the random thread of randomness? That's great...so, about the first questions. I hardly believe in normal love, true love is simply a fantasy. Underwear? I don't care :p Opposites attract simply because manly is the opposite of feminine. The manlier a guy, more chances a girl will like him and vice-versa. My room? Just imagine a dirty place with white walls and old, low-quality furniture and you get it. Question: do you put nsfw images on your desktop? I don't but I saw people that do it without shame.

Sumeragi 2012-10-08 11:35

What is the difference between normal and true love?

Normal love was what I felt for my ex. This time it's TRUE LOVE  .

bigdeal000 2012-10-08 11:47

True love is something said to be able to make you happy by itself, simply because you and you mate are such a perfect match that even if something goes wrong, it would be brief and everything would be alright. Something like, I love you so much that nothing can go wrong. Normal love is something more realistic, with breakups, disappointments and etc. You might say that my definition of true love is well, stupid - you have no idea how many people believe in that. I had to listen to my friend saying that when her perfect mate will come, she'll know it even before talking to him, because it's all written in the stars, and that's not the only example...and, no, love is not something illusory, just something I think is overrated.

Ridwan 2012-10-08 11:49

Before any derailment actually comes our way, I'll just remind everyone here that this isn't the dating thread.

Now that I think about it, this answer is better than my paragraph. True love is what you think you feel at first, when you "believe you can fly"(what's scary is that you might believe that multiple times). Normal love comes when reality hits you on the head. And, right, this is not the dating thread, but it could very well became any sort of thread depending on what people want to talk about. If you don't want to talk about love, just start a different topic.

Ridwan 2012-10-08 12:11

I think a "Social Thread" should be a place where we talk casually about our daily life in real world, which includes (though not limited to) either bragging off about recent fortunes or ranting about recent shits. Basically about how/what we're doing lately.

Sumeragi 2012-10-08 12:14

It's Canadian Thanksgiving. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing..... Yum~

Ridwan 2012-10-08 12:20

Why don't we have turkeys here in the tropics ??! http://bacchanallia.com/Smileys/defa...a3_w32_h15.gif

How long until this topic gets locked for whatever reason, everyone? *hides*

bigdeal000 2012-10-08 12:41

Turkeys are awesome :D I see fireworks around town for no reason lately. We are usually allowed to use fireworks only on holidays (the police will start looking for you if you use them on not-allowed days) but right now they're coming out of nowhere for no reason :eyespin:

never mind, found her.

If it doesn't exist, I have no clue what I've been feeling for the past year.

Similar personalities, with everything else complementary.

Briefs, definitely. When you're as active as I am (and packing what I do <_<), you have to keep everything in place.

winterbaby 2012-10-08 15:18

Similar is better.
Reason:
Everyone has a person just like them in the world. People need someone who is just like them so they can talk about their problems, likes, things the despise, etc.

At last, somewhere to ask a random question I've never had a place to ask before!

When imagining ship to ship combat do you think of sailing ships, battleships or spaceships?

Sumeragi 2012-10-08 15:24

Modern naval ships.

It was a nice Short story. It interesting to see how a computer react and learn from his master. The ending kinda abrupt thought.

Re: Ship-to-ship combat: Full on military engagements between WW2-style battlegroups! Bang, bang.. BOOM! Ratatatatata--BOOM!

So, as promised, here are pictures of my living room / office .. yeah, it's messy..

And here are also pictures of the aftermath of 11 barbarians rampaging around my condo for Canadian Thanksgiving .. I just realized that it's interesting that I have no food pictures yet cause I was too busy cooking, prepping and entertaining.. Have to wait for one of my guests to send over the food pics and hoped that they turned out properly.. :heh: (Update: FOOD PICTURES UP ON FOOD THREAD!)
