Plot summary : The story revolves around Izumiko Suzuhara, a girl raised within the confines of Tamakura Shrine, one of the Kumano shrines that are part of a World Heritage site. However, after Izumiko spent practically her entire life at Kumano until middle school, it was decided that she and her childhood friend Miyuki would enroll in Hōjō High School in Tokyo. On a school trip to Tokyo, a mysterious entity known as Himegami appears and a terrible incident occurs. Izumiko's family carries a great secret that Izumiko is about to learn.

Note : Ogiwara launched the novels in June 2008, and the fifth volume shipped in October.

I thought that the "Good Witch of the West" anime had many enjoyable aspects, so I would be interested in opinions from anyone who has read this.

Actually he launched it in June of 2008. The tankoubou version of volume 5 came out in October.

The bunko version of volume one came out this June and the bunko version of volume 2 (which is what your image is of) comes out 12/22.

Hmm ... read the short summary on wikipedia and found it kinda interesting.... I may keep an eye out for this one. :)

So Shinohara Toshiya has become the go to guy at PA Works since he'll be working on this and the other PA works original.

No Mari Okada. Awesome.

Having high expectations of this as per usual for a PA Works anime for me.

P.A.'s output is increasing, so I wouldn't be surprised if they simply offered both projects around the same time. It's easier that way, provided that the director's schedule isn't too busy.

Well Ando does have the Iroha Movie on his plate as well as going back to Bones for Zetsuen no Tempest. Guess they needed another go to guy.

must be a romance type of anime then... hopefully P.A. Works will do more action shows like CANAAN since they are good at it and they profited good with CANAAN too

Canaan was a flop and is PA's worst selling series...

Canaan did better but True Tears had quite good BD-box sales while Canaan BD-BOx sold just around 600 copies.

Yeh, iirc True Tears Bluray box came out in 2010-11 and reaped about 5k for it.

I thought so too but I can't find that figure,it sold at least 2K since that was the minimum amount of BD preorders needed for them to come out.

Also Canaan sold better than Another as well.

As for RDG ,even if it's fantasy there might be some action,not sure.

That synopsis is quite 'too summarized', I think. I couldn't figure out what it's about or even its genre. Well, thanks to Pocari Sweat, I now know it's a fantasy but I hope I can know a little more about its story...

And the name is pretty cool!

A manga version will start running in Shonen ace in about a week,maybe we'll be able to get some scanlations to get a better idea of what the plot is about.

I like the glasses!Hope PA works has them in the anime as well!Though I'm not sure that'll happen since they weren't there in any novel illustrations.
