The chances of this game being good is almost slim to none........

Poetic Justice 2010-11-24 07:59

"Human race's extermination is fate?" :heh:

Don't be so skeptic :heh: Perhaps this game will be good at the end..... :(

Elvin 2010-11-24 09:12

Wait, is this the "RPG" that was announced a while back?

Von Himmel 2010-11-24 09:17

Yeah, I guess that it's the same game.
Oh, I just noticed that it has 'RPG' in it...another DoC ? :heh: My internet speed is so slow that I can't stream the video :heh:

Elvin 2010-11-24 10:00

I was expecting something a bit more traditional. Oh well, guess the RPG element'll involve levelling?

FlareKnight 2010-11-24 15:03

Wow that's some trailer :heh:. Not sure how good this will turn out to be though...

A very good chance of this game coming to the US!

Dengeki asked Mikage about Imageepoch's plans for overseas releases for their titles after the conference. He flat out replies that Imageepoch has a contract with NIS America, and that NISA will be releasing their titles in the US and probably also Europe.

Image Epoch has a good track record at making good games, their games range from good to close at being great. The Director on this game also happens to have a good track record. He developed 7th Dragon which got 9/8/8/8 from Famitsu and Last Ranker 9/8/8/8. First time he's making a shooting game though.

Edit: He was also the director of the Trauma Center series and Etrian Odyssey. Like I said he has a good track record.

Nerroth 2010-11-24 18:10

It would be nice if NISA could get that Figma-fied LE over...

Whoa...let's just hope that this will really be released in states. I mean, if sales aren't that good etc that will make them change their minds...it'll be bad for us who want it to be released in US :heh:

This :heh:
I do hope that he'll bring his creativity into a good game.

Hopefully his track record continues with this game.

Can't help it but feel skeptical though, feels like marketing gimmick to sell more figmas and figurines. :heh:

ZODDGUTS 2010-11-25 16:40

Well they did make a Fate/Extra game on the PSP which also got good reviews so they have good game based on a popular anime/PC Game. There not like Konami which makes cheap cash in games based on popular anime, those games often suck.

Image Epoch is also doing a Type Moon game.

Thw background image on the new jrpg.jp site isn't bad...

I can't wait till more info shows up on this. Heck, I'm still looking for higher rez scans from the famitsu article.

I do have to say as excited as I was by the trailer, it the trailer was pretty jarring, imo. The bits with BRS in it were awesome, but most of the video was bunch of dudebros shooting at an overturned tanker and that was only when they weren't firing wildly into the sky. I didn't mind the music much and I thought the animation and the ingame models looked pretty nice. That said, this is pretty much a day one for me, twice if NIS bring it over, which seems all but certain.

That or something of that level would be pretty awesome. I haven't bought any NIS games in a while (Disgaea Portable is the most recent), so I don't know how they handle that kind of stuff. Anyone have any incite on this?

Nerroth 2010-11-28 23:46

As an aside, there's a product info page up about the other PSP game imageepoch announced recently here.

Hopefully an info page for BRS won't be far behind...

Nerroth 2010-12-01 01:15

NISA post up their first official comment on the imageepoch thing.
