Subtitle playback problems with the latest cccp

So I'm having big problems with subtitles in cccp. One example is gg's release of [gg]_Zan_Sayonara_Zetsubou_sensei_-_03_[816E64F1].mkv the opening subtitles don't play back properly at all. It has a lot of trouble with panning and fading. My question is how do I update vsfilter I've tried myself but it's not working.

Were things working before? Is it only this file?

it's not only this file it's just an outdated vsfilter. Three fresh installs of cccp. Also I'm using windows xp pro.

Have you tried using the latest CCCP beta?

Craymel 2009-08-10 23:11

nope I guess I will now.

EDIT: Thanks that did the trick <(^-^)> Although it is a beta and now all I'm thinking is what bugs await me in the future but I'll report those to the cccp forums. Hopefully they come out with an official stable release soon.

I don't know if there's any difference between a stable version of CCCP and a Beta other than the former is more rigorously tested. The Beta uses a newer version of mpc-hc and FFDSHOW tryouts which shouldn't cause any problem, it has been working fine for me at least.

That wasn't the problem trust me 720p fansubs don't stutter with my core duo. Plus the file I listed in the opening post is 480p.
