Suisei no Gargantia - Requests for new threads
 

Since the Suisei no Gargantia forum is limited (only Mods and Admin can create new threads), this thread serves as a way to request a new thread to be created.

Please post here if you wish to request a new Suisei no Gargantia thread. Please bear in mind that we will only accept reasonable requests, we wish to maintain the focus within the forum and cut down on the noise (so no pointless threads cluttering up the place).

Don't forget that you may still post in existing threads as usual, the only restriction is that you may not create new threads within this particular forum.

Could we have a Science & Technology thread? I envision a place where we can discuss the scientific / technological aspects of the Alliance, the Hidxxx, Chamber, and how the Earth came to be covered in an ice age and then a water world.

Also it might be a little early but how about a fan-fiction thread?

For the moment please use the generic thread, a new one can be created in a second time if warranted.

Too early indeed, but don't worry. Once the series will be in an advanced stage and other requests will be made for it (possibly from people with some ideas in mind), it'll be created.

How about a character discussion thread for Bevel? Judging by the 4th episode and the OP/ED, he's going to be a fairly important character.

Does anyone know where the Gargantia fanfiction thread has gone to? It seems to have disappeared. 【・_・?】

I moved it away for the time being. All the replies it got were "wow that was fast", "too early" and so on. As I suspected/expected, you can't really elaborate fanfictions based on a work that has just begun and it's still in its introductory phase.

The show's going to hit the 8/12 ep mark soon, plus Valvrave's fanfiction thread is already up despite only 6 out of 24 eps(counting upcoming season 2) being aired.

Could we have a thread to discuss the Gargantia light novel, 少年と巨人(The Boy and his Giant)?

Since the novel serves as a prequel of Ledo's life, history, and associates in the Galactic Alliance, we could use this thread for the light novel readers to share spoilers, summaries and events regarding
1) Ledo's character/ personality,
2) his social relationships pre-Gargantia(if any), and his Alliance buddies(based on the link scans)
3) Galactic Alliance society and culture insights not already mentioned in the series
4) any changes/growth in Ledo's personality throughout the novel

This would undoubtedly help enrich anime-only viewers' knowledge of the Gargantia universe and bridge the anime's narrative gaps regarding Ledo's past.
(since the novel will likely never be translated :( )

Would it be possible to have a thread for the Petit Gargantia episodes? They spread a little more light on the characters in a funny, quirky kind of way.
