The seinen manga Blood Lad by Yuki Kodama will be getting an anime adaptation.

Plot Summary :
Staz is the vampire boss of a section of the demon world, but he has little interest in human blood. He's more infatuated with Japanese culture. When he learns that Fuyumi Yanagi, a Japanese teenage girl, accidentally wanders into the demon city, he jumps to the occasion. However, while Staz deals with an intruder on his turf, the oblivious Fuyumi is killed by a monster and becomes a wandering ghost. The disappointed Staz vows to her that he will find a way to bring Fuyumi back to life.

I never expected this one. Though it's a good news but the story is just starting with 3 volumes but still good news but still to early.

This news became now fake news but I'm not pretty sure about.
As of 8:55 p.m. on Wednesday Japan Time, the Suzumiya Haruhi no Kyōgaku website now displays a thumbnail image of the magazine issue without the anime headline.

Awww shoot :(. I'd be great if it was true. The manga's been pretty good shounen so far.

It isn't a shounen. It's a seinen, and its serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's seinen manga magazine Young Ace. So, it's really a seinen.

I see. Well, despite it's label, it hasn't really done anything that I expect out of a seinen manga. Heck, iirc, they label Seikon no Qwaser as shounen, despite the brutality in that manga. Go figure :rolleyes:.

Say what? Qwaser is shonen? With all the boobs and sexual innuendo? I can't believe it.

It.... it's not real? Of course not I guess. I couln't possibly be that lucky. Why does that card crusher meme come to mind.

There isn't anything about the hoax on Yuuki Kodama's site either.

It was a bit disappointing to realize that this wasn't airing for Summer 2012 as some rumors suggested, but it's good to know that the project isn't cancelled as well.

I've been waiting to see this, I like the manga! I guess airing later also gives them more material to animate since the manga is still ongoing.

it's too soon for an anime for it, and as expected they're going for the alternate story road..

What do you mean, alternate story road? They're not going to closely follow the story of the manga? Where did you find info on that?

maybe the scans are just far behind, but of all the 25 chapter scanned till now i've never seen these characters (except staz obviously)
but maybe it's just a restyling, still different though

or that is only the cover of the latest volume :u (i really have no idea how far back are the scans currently :/ )

edit. yep, currently 7 volumes out, scanned to half vol.4, my mistake then, that was the cover of the last volume (vol.7)
but now i wonder if the anime will catch up and surpass the scans, seeing as how slow they're it looks likely
