Addendum regarding Fate/Zero:
Please remember that, although Fate/Zero is chronologically the prequel of Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, this series might be discovered by those who did not watch the previous series or read the Visual Novel.
Therefore, although events are likely to be connected with the story regarding the 5th Holy Grail War, please do not post any F/SN spoiler in any F/Z thread.

I was afraid that they'd end the season somewhere around here but knew they couldn't possibly finish this fight.

If you thought Guilty Crown's cliffhanger was cruel wait til you see this. I can't imagine how torturous it would be if I didn't already know what happens.

Man... talk about a cliffhanger.

well now to begin the wait till April.

OK? I expect that they'll end the season with a bang and cliffhanger. But apparently, they thought two thirds of the episode for a radio drama and then the rest for a CG monster is good enough for this season. Oh well.

What's good for this season: Berserker's debut, Sakura's torment, Keyneth's mercury magic, assassin's dance, yuri vibes between saber and iris, caster's VA.
What's bad: kirei's midnight jogging, Rin's father's hikikomori, saber's master's sudden overflow of emotion (I think I am missing a few).

All the rest are pretty unremarkable or boring.

The King of Conquerors is slowly becoming my fav anime char of all time

Wow finally I was starting to get tired of Caster. I just cannot stand him for some strange reason.

Heh, got a chuckle out of that part too.

Kind of a weak finale. I know they wanted the cliffhanger, but you could feel them stretching for it. One thing I'll say, Caster must be a pretty strong hero if these three powerful heroes are needed to beat him. I guess it's because he's willing to sacrifice his bid for the grail (I'm assuming turning himself into this monster will make him lose his mind), but it makes one wonder if he had a better master what he could do.

WOW Waver is looking girlier than ever -_- broskander being an idiot who likes an idiot master. Bluebeard and Ryuunosuke are in sync as always. And nice way to use the ray of lights to emphasize that those 2 are the enlighten ones. Good episode and I didn't even notice the time until the ending with a HUGE WTF MOMENTS THAT I NEED TO WAIT FOR APRIL TO SEE THE FIGHT!!!

but hands down on the cg with cthulhu monster and the start of the fight but darn... >.> why the long wait!

Caster is a very weak heroic spirit with a very powerful Noble Phantasm.

Hell, that book is better magus than him. And this is what happens when you deal with Lovecraftian monsters.

I'd rate this episode 11/10, but unfortunately, there's no option for that.

Well, the whole build-up followed by the zooming into Saber's eye (+ Epic music from Yuki Kajiura) = My god.

Then, the episode previews... FINALLY, ANIMATED PREVIEWS.
Uh, basically, ufotable is the King of Cliffhangers for me. (DAT F-15 JET. DAT EA. DAT FIGHT. DAT DAT DAT DAT DAT~)

Sabre is able to walk on water, never knew that..

Aaarrgh......have to wait for another 3 months, especially after watching the eps previews>.<

GC cliff is more cruel than this one since it involve many charcaters and their fate. It's not the same thing in this episode. But, it's still a good one.

In the end, I must say that I'm disappointed by FZ. I thought it would be my fav serie of the season but in the end, it's not the case at all. I enjoyed more other series such as Horizon, Mirai Nikki, Idol@master or Ben-To. There was a big problem with the pacing. The soundtrack was not that good (FSN soundtrack >>> FZ one) and the animation too.

Overall, I give this first "season" a 7/10.

Even though I am big fan of Fate Universe I agree that after several episodes at beginning show went downhill. I understand all dialogues are important , but passing and animation( especially after Rin's episode) wasn't great.

Though in comparison to all that is on air now, Fate is like 90-100% superior.
