Worst Openings and Endings (IYO)
 

IYO- In Your Opnion

I would have to say Chobits Opening, Naruto 2nd ending, hack opening, Naruto 1st opening and ending, Get Backers Opening, Wolf's Rain Opening (can't stand english), Sprial opening (the voice, but it has a nice beat but the voice u_u)

Hmm, I can't really say I've found any Openings I really hate, but a couple endings I dislike are:

Noir ending
Nadesico ending
Arc the Lad 1st ending
Vandread 2nd ending

And that's all for now...

There aren't many that I really hate, but I don't really like the slow, soft ones. However fast, soft songs are great!

.hack//DUSK Ending - Not only was this one of those forementioned slow ones, but the fansub that I had was really... innacurate. I only got as far as the first line which was "Running childrens..."

Harmonia (Naruto ED2) - Although the song itself isn't too terrible, the chibi versions of Sakura and Ino swaying back and forth hypnotically... scares me.

Trigun ED - Oh man, this guy needs singing lessons. At first, it's all cool with the typical Trigun drum beat, nice and fast paced, and then all of the sudden this quasi-squeaky guy's voice comes in and just ruins it.

I have to agree that the Kenshin OP doesn't fit the show at all.

I think Full Moon wo Sagashite's second OP ("Rock and Roll Princess") is pretty bad as well, as much as I adore the show.
Also the opening AND ending for Samurai Girl Real Bout High School, the Super GALS OP, the first ending for Ranma 1/2, and the first ED for Kodomo no Omocha.

Now that I've bashed a lot of anime...(half of which I like...) :heh:

Gomen nasai ^-^" I dun like the voice for the Kenshin openings either nails on chalk board...nails on chalk board. I bet teh spiral singer and the kenshin signer should do a song together LOL "worst song ever"

Naruto's first OP "ROCKS" was a big time stinker. Harmonia wasn't bad, but not really fitting for the show. I love some of the other songs I've heard by Rythem (Tenkyu and Onna Tomodachi, in particular).

Avenger's OP and ED grated on my nerves so bad I wanted to claw my ears shut. Good thing the show sucked nearly as bad so I didn't have to continue experiencing them.

Oooh, how about Hellsing's ED, Mr. Big's Shine. I laughed the first time I heard it, though it was just depressing after that. Mr. Big blows.

Oh man, another good one... Cherished Memories the 3rd ending for Great Teacher Onizuka. It only played for like 5 episodes if I remember, but MAN was it shitty. I need to go download it now just so I can remember how crumby it was.

I'm sure there's more; that's all that's popped into my head for now.

Betterman 2nd opening, whats with the naked people?

Narutaru opening, misleading.... especially by animation value =/.

Any opening containing J-pop is bad, 'nuff said.

Misleading sure, but that was one of my favorite openings ever! I kept watching the show in hopes it would get as kooky as the opening...it didnt..but thats okay... Its still one of the few openings I watched every episode

I almost thought corp20 was wrong about me when I saw that opening >.<.

Speaking of which... I'm just about to give up on this 0.01kb/sec torrent for ep 3 and settle for "it sucks", since thats so much simpler :hmm:

i thought the opening theme to Soul Taker was pretty horrific

The Kenshin OPs didn't really fit the mood, though I still did like 1/2. It's got a nice arrangement.... I also liked Heart of Sword very much (one of the EDs), it's catchy and it fits the theme too... heh, Kenshin = Heart of Sword...

As for the Spiral OP, I agree - HOW the hell can you call that singing, it's just hard to bear... :( But it's so catchy! I find myself singing it a lot of times. (Just the TV cut part, because that's all I remember.)

Groove Adventure Rave's Hikousen (one of the EDs) was not very nice... really cheap-ass ending animation too (they usually do that).

omfg!! the Ikkitousen OP really got on my nerves(I only saw half the first episode)

yes, the Chobits OP was terrible too, so was the ED

the Weiß Kreuz ED wasn't that good either, the OP was O.k

Wow, this thread has really shown me how people can have different opinions. I like most of the songs mentioned... :sad: Meh.

Anyways, the ones i really didn't like (hate is too srong of a word) were:

Scraped Princess OP and ED - The op grew on me faster than the ed did, but they still sook

Get Backers 1st OP - I didn't like the first OP because of the first couple of seconds where there is no actual music in the backround

i thought niea_7's opening sucked big time. I can't stand the singing, ugh it's so so so so bad.

sounds like a old guy with lung problems choking on a pretzel and singing at the same time.

plus any cutsy songs for the opening or ending sucks too. you know those singers that have them really sqeaky high pitched voices.

Naruto's latest ending is THE WORST ENDING I've ever heard! The singer's sound is so sooo bad! I'll bet Simon (from American Idol) will kick him straight out when he heard that sound.

For me.. there's no bad @ awful @ sounds sux or bad OP and ED. all are the best they gave us.. (then why i entered this topic *oro* )

Why, per se, did you hate it? If you hated it... then you basically hated the majority of the soundtrack ;). and if so...why? I think it fit great with it.


Narutaru's ED is pretty bad, evil singing....evil singing... Thankfully not as bad as j-pop OP/EDs.... *shiver*

Well, I -like- Chobit's OP, though it's a bit -too- sugary cute for me. The 1st and 2nd endings were pretty good, too- not as cavity inducing.


Anyways... yeah, Nadesico's ED theme got annoying after a while. But maybe that's because the ED animation focuses ENTIRELY on Yurika and her freakishly huge and vacant dinner-plate-sized eyes. Why couldn't they have used Ruri's song, dammit?

There're also the CD drama songs for Nadesico. It's my opinion that after the TV show ended, any song created for the subsequent Nadesico spin-offs increased substantially in suckitude. Have you ever heard the Nadesico "Best Collection" CD? Half of the tracks shouldn't be anywhere -near- the word "Best"...

Brain Powerd's OP. The song honestly isn't too bad, but the singer's forced to hit freakishly high notes for like... a third of the song. It hurts my ears. There's also the fact that the entire OP focuses on naked women for absolutely no reason whatsoever, and it ended up being one of the most tasteless things I'd ever seen. Argh.

Yuusha Raideen's OP. This was the robot that inspired the mecha design for RahXephon, just so you know. The thing is, it's a 70's robot anime, and its slow-paced, sugary-happy/heroic theme song makes copious use of the Children Death Choir. Argh.

Tenchi Muyo. Did they even -have- OP songs?

And that's all I can think of so far. Come to think of it, there aren't a whole lot of songs that I flat-out HATE...

I thought the 2nd and 3rd ED or inuyasha.
