I liked this episode. The fight scene was cool and lurichiyo's goodbye was bittersweet. But I didn't like the animation! Ichigo looked so bad. I thought this episode would at least have decent animation since we had a 2 week wait.

But I was so happy to see Orihime and Nell in the extra scene! It was like she was back to her happy self again.

I heard Orihime broke the 4th wall.

The episode was terrible, the fight was terrible. It didn't even make sense as a fight half the time. The whole physics for lack of a better word were just bizarre. There was absolutely zero signficance to ichigo unveiling the mask when there should have been. No dicussion between ichigo and yamamoto when there should of been.

Yes. From the preview of next week, the animations looks awkward.

Just finished watching it. The ending was awesome.

I agree for a 2 week wait, the amination could have been a little better, and the story line seemd rushed.:twitch:., type of ending was unexpected But Hey I still enjoyed it..

Well glad they announced the filler to be over. Thank god Inoue gave Ichigo a copy of the manga so he knew what they were supposed to be doing :heh:. Have to watch the last few episodes before the filler or will never have a clue what's going on.

Just glad they ended that thing. It was a pretty sad (not emotionally, just literally) arc and nice to be past it.

It wasn't a bad ending, I guess. Yoruichi was in it. XD!

But I'm happy we get back to the canon next week.

Few things...

1) the episode wasn't completely horribly animated, though the final slash between Ichigo and Amagai looked rather poorly at the end.

2) The truth ended up being pretty cliche, though I didn't see Amagai killing himself.

3) lol @ Orihime pulling out a copy of the Bleach Manga

4) lol @ Ichigo in the Shinigami Cup, "wtf is going on!?"

is it me or does Bleach really lack quality animation and impression since ep 130+? (166 exception)
ep 130 above -> quality is not that great unlike the SS arc episodes (which simply rocks)

I disagree, there were plenty of nicely animated episodes since 130
(140-141, 155, 160-161, 164. Especially episode 141)

maybe some of the better artists quit and were snatched up by other companies paying more money. I would say it was simply a matter of saving money for the important episodes but they don't even bother to animate the climax of their filler properly. And when you have a plot that makes people want to go out and kill small children all you have is a well animated fight to look forward to. Which I personally have nothing against, I have watched many an episode of a series that I had no interest in simply to see some great animation.

The level of suck here was so great that even a great Shinigami cup could not rescue it. This was perhaps the most cliched ending possible out of a long list of options. Thank the mighty Cthulhu that this arc has ended. The sad thing is, about half of it was decent, before they gummed up the conclusion.

Yeah I was kind of hoping that Yama-jii would pwn Amagai at the very end. But, I guess they are saving any kind of Yama-jii pwnage until it's canon first.

Lol, this episode made me laugh. Not the main episode, though. The very ending where Orihime says to Ichigo, "Hurry Kurosaki! Use your bankai and go to this scene!" :heh:

Well, I'm a bit sad about Amagai. I kinda liked him, but I suppose this result was inevitable. It was hilarious how Genryuusai got stabbed in the stomach and just stood there like nothing happened. I think the old man is either invincible or has no nerve endings left from all those scars or something... XD
