Pugyuru - What the?

So did anyone catch Pugyuru? Its a short 4 minute anime, out by Lunar. I was hesitant to watch this because I heard it looks like crap flash animation (it does) but I figured why not? Its so short.

And man, why not indeed. It's uh....different. Random. And I have the strange urge to watch some more...

The characters were interesting to say the least. (What is up with that "maid"?) It was a pretty funny 4 minute diversion.

Though predictable, walking the dog was pretty funny.

This anime leaves...much to be desired. Hmm...maybe this anime is aimed for a younger audience (kids)? Since there's a "Kids Station" logo at the end of the video.

Hmm... Lunar fansub? I'll have to check the series out...

Kids Station is just the name of the channel it airs on. Not everything on there is for kids either, as that's the channel Narutaru was on.

I kind of reminds me of Azumanga but not as good.

I didn't realise Hikaru Shindou had an older sister... :)

Despite the low animation quality, their is something weirdly compelling about this thing. Maybe it's the blippy Nintendo-esque theme.

Wow, this was one of the most messed-up things I've ever seen.

I mean, what... what the hell is she?

Is this like a commercial for a cute bean-bag-like toy or something?

Note: the Nintendo-esque music was written by Yasunori Mitsuda, the composer for Chrono Cross and the Xenogears games.

Holy smoke, that's the weirdest thing ever, I tought Dogtatokun was weird. haha. ^^

And I agree with PocariSweat, first thing I notice, whoa that's Hikaru. >_<

I downloaded and watched Puguryu ep 2 last night without seeing ep 1. My 1st impression is just WTF going on here. The animation art is so sucks, not to mention the story itself. Wait a minute....I don't even think there's a story involved :twitch: I just wonder why Lunar picked up this shit.

Well, as near as I can figure it to be about anything, it seems to revolve around a girl who's parents run off leaving her with a nekkid little Maid-girl-creature made entriely out of flubber.

Very strange this far, but indeed entertaining :D

She grows tentacles. >_<

I wonder if it's based around that manga that started last month in Nakayoshi.

It reminds me of azumanga daioh for some reason -_-......

It's Hikaru no GO with a flubber Sai. ^^
