For some reason, the character designs kinda reminds me of Sword art online.

Interesting. Is this Sword Art Online minus the virtual reality and gaming terminology premise? Seems like it since the covers and how the characters look seem oddly similar. Who knows? Could be just me.

Not going to lie it looks neat; definitely going to look this up and keep an eye on this one.

Uh, no. First, the artist for Fire Girl is not abec, the artist for the light novel Sword Art Online, it's BUNBUN, the artist for the light novel Bara no Maria.

Second, despite how similar their art style is, abec and BUNBUN are not the same person. abec is a highschool girl, BUNBUN is a man. abec got sick and tired of people thinking she and BUNBUN are the same person.

No, but there is little similarity.
Here are a some scans from the first book to illustrate:

So is this a harem series with the blond guy as MC or something like that?

Although I do not know too much details about the story. It seems that the novels are divided into two parts. First takes place in the school and is about ordinary lives of characters and second is about their adventures in some kind of fantasy world called "Nutella". The main character is a that Asuna-look-like girl and her name is Homura Hinooka.

"Nutella"? seriously?:heh:

Or Nutera. Who knows. Original japanese transcript is ヌテラ.

^I put my bets on "Nuterra".

The megane boy is hot. Totally my type.
