The second anime series from feng (Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka)

Totally surprised when the Hoshikaka anime adaptation was announced today. I've played the game (after waiting through the 9 or 10 delays) (review here) and I was totally let down by what I think is probably among the worst written stories I've ever read. The pacing was horrid. I guess they will go with Ui's route, but that's pretty standard fare which is not gonna leave any impression whatsoever. They should follow Madoka's (true) route if they don't want the anime to flop entirely since it's the only decent route in the game.

Ahhhhhhh... There are so many more deserving eroge to be animated than this! Well, I'll probably still watch a bit of it for Koyori and Kasane, but... Urgghhhhh...

It feels like they were planning an anime all along and making it side-by-side with the game. That would explain all the delays.

Btw, ANN's announcement is wrong. Ui isn't the daughter of the shrine priest; Madoka is.

And this is our "non-H" adaptation, serious either do it right or don't do it all. But I guess Megami needed more pinups to put for Spring. At least the other VN adaptation is on AT-X which mean we will be treated to at least one softcore scene hopefully

AT-X is a chance, not a guarantee. Sometimes it's a rerun and, to use a recent example, MM! was AT-X first, and kept most of its fanservice to costumes, angles and one panty shot. Plus, shouldn't things like story or characters come before scenes of any core?

How does adding "H" scenes make an adaptation better? If anything it's having the main character make critical decisions and have the anime go down a specific route that makes it good.

Meh whatever I like Feng stuff anyway.

Don't water down my stuff, but from an honest point of view, I was actually fine with August not making another H-OVA of their series. Princess Holiday was terrible in terms of H content.

It's not your stuff, it's everyone's stuff. And you need the stuff around the stuff to make that stuff have impact, but there are other ways of getting that impact across that don't involve that sort of stuff, which I believe there is a thread in General Discussion about.

To be honest nothing special about the game. Well, it's not boring and I won't categorize it as kusoge either but it's just not appealing to me.

I may have seen every single character a dozen times before, and yet...I enjoyed it. As long as people keep relating warmly to each other, I can probably keep going. Seems a lot better than Myself;Yourself, for instance. Maybe it's partly the nice shouta moe, lol.
