That big wolf in the OP...it wasn't Horo.

What is this! We may have a epix ookami vs ookami fight next episode (or at least I hope we do).

The forest is a dangerous place indeed, and soon enough Lawrence and the others find themselves being chased by packs of wolves. Horo and lawrence stay behind to act as a distraction whilst nora and another guy escapes. But Horo actually sent Lawrence on his was as well as she will soon be doing battle with the lord of this forest.

Lawrence on the other hand find out that he has been betrayed yet again and is now lying on the floor with a cut across his face O.o

Holy crap the situation gets pretty heavy again. Who would have guessed that a wolf like that was in the forest? No wonder its so dangerous to try and get through there. Horo is going to have her hands full on this one.

Was an interesting trip through the woods. A close call just getting there, but Nora really showed what she could do. The first time we saw her it was a safe trip, but this time she did a great job. If it was a normal situation with wolves she could definitely handle herself well.

Nice seeing her and Horo have a conversation. Mostly Horo has been quiet around her, but this time it was pretty interesting. No idea what was going on, but still entertaining anyways.

Lawrence seems to get betrayed a lot. Really needs to take care of that. Horo will need to go and help him out since I'm guessing bleeding like that will attract trouble to him. But right now she's gotta cut loose on the wolf before her. Doesn't seem to be one of her companions or it'd be a more cheerful reunion.

So the journey ended safely, thanks to Nora... or maybe not. Since apparently those wolves around there don't tend to do more than watch...

The end was just awesome! Horo faces off against a younger wolf (Gah, it's freaking huge!) and Nora/Lawrence gets betrayed... Curses. And those people cut his face! :twitch:
Though, admittingly, they aren't evil people in that they feel guilt about what they are doing, but are only doing this because their company is in danger and they want to remove all threats to it. But who cares about them when they left Lawrence to the wolves and don't exactly plan to do anything good to Nora either... (Likely for her, this isn't a hentai anime.)

Preview: Wolf and a new journey;
1. The whole thing will conclude somehow.
2. The title is a clear spoiler that they will make it out alive...

1. The dog. Nora points out that the dog has been interested in Horo.

2. What Nora thinks of Lawrence; about how men are wolves that attack their lambs... and for her (Horo) and Lawrence, it's the opposite

They aren't after their money.
Like they say, they are eliminating the threats (Horo, Nora, Lawrence) so that any of the three will not tell anyone they smuggled gold.

It may look that way, but the pieces still don't fit. Horo, Nora, and Lawrence have no incentive to tell people that Lemerio company smuggled the gold. And even if they did, they can be bought at a very cheap price.

Let's not forget that he didn't kill Lawrence, Nora, or Horo - and while they might still be in danger, there's still a decent chance that they can escape and spoil his plans. And being (seemingly) betrayed would surely give them the incentive to turn the tables on him.

When it comes down to it, the risk/reward ratio looks horrible and I'm having a hard time understanding his actions. That's why I'm leaning towards "clever plan" rather than "outright betrayal". It remains to be seen what happens in Episode 13, but I envision Nora starting a new life with 20 Lumione, a debt-free Lawrence, and Horo getting her first taste of honeyed peaches - let's see what role the Lemerio guy plays in all of this.

But it would make sense if you think of the company as desperate, which they are.

They didn't want to risk any chance that the three would tell. The people from the company says that people fall under greed in the face of great amounts of money. The company doesn't exactly know the three that well, so they are worried, even by a small chance, that one of the three gets greedy and tells someone.

They also don't want to kill people, especially women. They leave Lawrence to get eaten, they believe Horo is dead already, and they plan to kidnap Nora. Thus, they can prevent any one of the three from telling. Or so they think.
Overall, they're too assumptive that wolves will eat Lawrence, and they have no idea that Horo is a wolf. Nora... might be in trouble here.
In other words, they think everything will go their way...

Can see what you mean here. Don't lose anything by getting rid of the three and making sure they don't say anything. Though it's not like the three have any reason to say anything. They are part of smuggling gold and if told they won't be in a good place. Seems like an unnecessary step for them. Maybe its just greed. If they get rid of them then they don't have to pay any money.

Plus I guess if your getting involved with something that could get you taken out by the church you'll do some things like this.

Just another thing. Horo just looked damn cool when calling off that wolf that was getting a bit too close. Even that one isn't stupid enough to mess with a wolf of Horo's caliber.

I dont think they gonna do anything to nora until they reach the city safely, since they need her and her sheeps.

If they reach the city, Nora's toast anyway - a scapegoat to throw at the Church, a pretty thing to sell into slavery, poof she's gone.

That giant wolf in front of Horo, Horo's fiance? But Horo goes 'DO NOT WANT' and runs away to a town to become a harvest goddess until Lawrence shows up. Meanwhile her fiance goes high and low to search for Horo :heh:

Nah! He is VERY young compared to Horo! She is pretty confident that she can kick his ass.
IT is obvious that the spirit has just recently come into being because it has not been very long since this route became dangerous.

Well didn't know he was that much younger than her. But still regardless Horo can kick anyone's ass in my books :D. But time to show this guy that he messed with the wrong wolf. Just wondering about the mob of smaller wolves. Are they going to sit back and let the big guys settle things?

Although I wasn't certain until I rewatched it the second time but at 20'18 Lawrence caught by the three blurps out, "Are you guys doublecrossing Lemerio tradings? (裏切るのかレミリオ商会を）, not Is this a doublecross by Lemerio tradings.(俺を裏切るのか、レミリオ商会は meaning those three are taking the gold for themselves and it looks as if the chaperone is in it as well.
The part I don't understand is the next line by one of the men saying, We are doing it as insurance.(保険ですよ), the next line was "We are all hanging on a thread" and the last is "It's common sense in the business world that people lose their senses when they are confronted with large amount of money."

The above really does not make much sense to me, does anyone have an alternative answer?

Wolf and a New Journey

Lawrence is hurt. A crisis closes in on Nora. Learning of the betrayal, Horo could not restrain her anger and!

I'm not sure that the church would be much help for Nora. They could use her to get Lemerio and then have her taken out as a witch. After all taking part would prove to them that she was going to betray them which wouldn't be anything positive for her.
