Looking for a violent anime...
 

I am looking for some dark, violent anime. Something with a decent story as well.
I have already seen Berserk, Gantz, Elfen Lied, Blue Gender and a couple others.

First thing what you do is watch this:

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - It is one of most violent anime in history. <--------------- Don't know if you have seen this before. But it's the best.

Ergo Proxy - One of darkest anime. (Action, blood, scary, etc.This goes abit too Sci-fi)

I am watching Higurashi no Naku Koro ni right now and while its not the splatterfest i was hoping(or at least not yet), the story it great.

Sorry to bother people but are there any more suggestions. So far, the suggestions i have been given are great. I would like at least a couple more to keep me occupied for a long period of time.

Basilisk - dark ninja story

Samurai Champloo - although it isn't a spatterfest, the fights are pretty realistic, sometimes even showing the bones

X - probably the most violent among all CLAMP animations, all i remember was a lot of blood

Rurouni Kenshin Reminiscence - totally different from the tv series, hardcore action
