Another great episode, and this anime has finally reached its last turn. Either way, Tsukasa was indeed the best choice to end it.

Spoiler for Ep 23:

Mentar 2010-12-09 15:47

Mhhh...

I'm doubtful. They're significantly rewriting the story now, and I'm not sure if it's for the better. Well, I gotta correct myself, I'm almost convinced it's for the worse. I'll wait for the subs to see if I missed anything relevant (I don't think I did), and maybe my opinion will change. But for now, I can only consider the manga approach the _vastly_ superior story.

So, still _exceptionally_ interesting, but - I'm loathe to say it - this seems like one more arc which seems inferior to the manga.

Key Board 2010-12-09 17:45

That's was a pretty chilling development at the end

Spoiler:

Knightrunner 2010-12-09 18:35

I can't wait to get home for I can watch the raw.

Mentar 2010-12-09 18:58

I've rewatched the episode, and my opinion has improved by quite a bit, also with the confirmations from KeyBoard's summary. It is a very different take compared to the manga version (which is more upbeat and "sweeter")... much more chilling, worrisome and sad. However, it's certainly an even more consistent development, digging in the wound even deeper.

I wonder how the average anime fan will react to this change of atmosphere. It might be pretty difficult, especially for those unfamiliar with the Freudian terms.

Another big plus side: I'm very curious how they will resolve this. It's almost like watching a new show :)

@Keyboard who is Kouichi?
There's been a rumor that they will do a different story to Tsukasa's story. Are we getting another friendzoned or a bad end? What's your take?

Key Board 2010-12-09 19:33

It's Junichi

I am horrible with names. Sorry.

Unless you're talking about kissing before the final episode of the arc, then I'd have to disagree quite strongly with this. Junichi got a kiss with each girl with the exception of Rihoko (who didn't even get much of a romantic end to her arc in the first place anyway), and even then there were the fetish kisses in Haruka and Kaoru's arcs, and Junichi got at least two kisses in with Ai.

I only watched the raw version and it is hard to see Tsukasa apologize to those girls. Now that is swallowing your pride right there.

Gault 2010-12-09 19:59

was watching the RAW earlier, I did like how the episode was going but found it abit strange towards the end, after reading Key Boards post it cleared up a few things , I'll wait for the Subs though for further detailing of it

It's worse than that. Much worse. Reread what KeyBoard wrote, he summed it up very well.

Spoiler for since the ep isn't out yet...:

It will be interesting to see how he will manage to undo the damage...

Wow, talking about getting hit with Cloud's Omnislash version 6 and Sephiroth's stabs at the same time. I can't believe he told Ayatsuji to be more genuine and apologize to the three b*tches. Hearing that from him must have been hell of a lot worst than apologizing to those three and it hurts my stomach seeing her apologize like that. Jun better realize soon what he has done a fix this problem asap.

Any ideas how to fix these types of problems?
--------------------------------

Actually, what Jun did is a lot worst than physical injury. I can't wait to get the old Ayatsuji back soon.

I guess all I can do is wait for the sub version to see more of the effect.

Oh boy... I will be angry if Tsukasa becomes the second girl without her Best End... ormaybe this is the studio's way of including all endings for one girl again, like they did for Ai, because what happened to Ai in this episode very similar to her Bad End in the game.

Anybody know if Tsukasa's arc is confirmed for five episodes, with both Risa and Miya's eps being on DVD, or is her arc still four with a one-shot at the end?

Knightrunner 2010-12-09 22:10

I wonder why many people do not volunteer to help set up the Xmas festival.

It's already confirmed to be 4 episodes. The 25th episode is Risa's arc. Miya's arc is the one and only episode to be BD/DVD only.

That said, can't wait for the subs to appear. Can't comment much till then. ~ ~

Are you sure you are not talking about Kouichi from TLSS and Kimikiss? :)

Spoiler:

Knightrunner 2010-12-09 23:41

Can anybody confirm if they were playing dodge ball or catch turned into bullying.

Kaoru Chujo 2010-12-09 23:44

Wow. Excellent episode. Ayatsuji is great, slipping into plausible madness. Good job by the animators and Nazuka Kaori. Thanks to KeyBoard and Mentar for the analysis.

Knightrunner 2010-12-09 23:51

I guess I'll never find out what was written in that Deathnote.
