At least Toboso drew the characters... I can hope for some decent character designs, then.

I've decided to view the upcoming season as a wholly independent entity that is set in the same universe as the original Kuroshitsuji. Thinking about it that way lets me be intrigued as to what the show's creators can come up. I'm actually looking forward to the show more than before when I thought they would have to backtrack and somehow resurrect Ciel.

Backtrack to the manga, anyway.

Ouch, this hurts. I was optimistic about a second season with the circus arc, and then I read this on ba. It would be kinda weird since Ciel practically died in the last season, but it's not really something they couldn't fix, so yes, disappointed. But if this also has some supernatural and aruji-shimobe slash in it, I'll watch it too :p

Yes, it is. But some of the comments I've seen here and elsewhere tell me that not everyone is going to look at the series as a clean slate.

There is the lj post, basically its alot of what we already know but there a few things. I do find it funny that the girl didnt know who Sakurai was!!! In the post it does say the possibility of Sebby/Ciel is pretty much none since special footage was created by Toboso Yana where Sebby is alone. :(

I like those designs though, and would be pleased if they're used.

Haven't seen the first season but the concept of a rip-off sprang to mind pretty fast. Well, since the manga's updating slowly, I might as well check out this one. The lower my hopes, the better it will be :)

The DVDs sold amazingly well, so somehow I'm not surprised that they would make another season. Seems quite stupid to me that they're making a 'new generation', which is usually done to children's morning anime (Pretty Cure and Digimon springs to mind). Sounds like milking the franchise to me.

If the above image is the new designs, the butler looks bit plain and typical to me (kinda looks like he's picked up from an otome game). But I like the design of the 'master'.

Well, they don't look bad, but really, in Yana's stye everything looks great anyway. And can we presume that it will also be a Demonic pact kinda relationship? I mean, why else would they name the butler Faustus XD The roles could be swapped though o_O

Yeah, the butler has to serve for his entire life so that the demon master can have his soul, what a bargain o_0

What bothers me is that months ago they said were were getting "Kuroshitsuji Season 2" and they had a party with the fans and everyone cheered and was really happy.

Now, after waiting months for more info;..we find out we are getting,...

Agreed, it doesn't make sense. Someone said that it wasn't completely clear that Sebastian and Ciel wouldn't return. I hope they do, I am not at all interested in a knock-off series, even if Toboso designed the characters.

No offical word has been given, Im thinking itll be "Kuroshitsuji insert something else" since its more then likely the same format, assuming the butler is gonna be the demon, I mean with title he'd have to be. Itll be interesting to see how this is gonna go down.
