And so it begins.

Good episode, and at the end, plenty of foreshadowing on how a self-proclaimed, "lazy, cowardly princess" forever changes the relationship between the lander cities and akiba.

Minori is showing signs... of becoming more like Shiroe's protege.

There was no corpse. Best he could do until he found one.

Obviously. Have you forgotten that their body explodes into an ether when they die? :heh:

Actually I did. From what I've understood, in the novels monsters become corpses when they're killed. I imagined that the same was true for landers. I also imagine in the novels this was a far less "pleasant" scene.

Ahhh Minori~n, so you've taken the first step to becoming the Charismatic Leader :D

I don't think this counts as a spoiler so I'll just carry on. This scene happens only in the anime. The anime just expanded on the conversation between the newbies.

And it looks like next episode will be a Certain Lazy Princess' turn to shine =3

I don't actually remember having that in the novels (considering that the girl was anime-only as far as I'm concerned). Well, I suppose our fears for that girl were true.

Spoiler for episode live reactions:

Souji mission was mentioned in LN, you skipped it.

NOPE,no razed house.I think

ookamigirl 2014-01-18 11:44

Fish attack, totally LOL at first sight.
Later on, not so much.
Something was seriously off with the demi-humans.
Interesting how a simple game event is now a big problem.
Things sure have changed since the game became players reality & home.
They just cannot afford to be reckless.
Good episode that laid some solid foundation for the upcoming event.

Ah, I see it now. It's because the timeline between the anime and LN are different (Souji arrives before Shiroe reveals the truth about death in the LN).

the Goblin King is obviously

Spoiler:

*wonder if Raynesia has a little brother.

I liked the setup of this episode. It seems leaving quests undone has consequences. I do hope this builds the relationship between Eastal and Akiba.

At the same time, Scrub Horizon's training makes more sense now eh? We needed to see their personal growth in order to believe that they can participate in the Guerilla War defending Choshu. Because without it criticisms of how the B Team just "magically" is able to stand up against mobs will crop up.

Anyways I can't wait to see the strategies and tactics developed in this first full scale raid that the Adventurers of Akiba will run. So exciting.

Only one thing that bugged me: Ok Anime staff, Kawara is NOT that smart. :heh:
I would expect her to have "?" marks flying about going "I DUN UNDERSTAN"

So, does that mean that we will see a Sherlock Holmes as mastermind behind the Goblin King? :p
