check me if i'm wrong, aren't Wolverine - Logan's claws shiny because of adamantium after being a experiment by Program X, which I heard it was happened after WWII ?
If that's case then by watching the trailer which shows Wolverine's claws are shiny, that person shouldn't be Logan, is it right? So I think that guy in trailer is Daken, this can be more logical than he's Logan.

It's actually WEAPON PLUS. It's a government project long ago taken from the Nazi from WWII. Weapon 0, I, II, III~~~Weapon X and so on. He was subjected to the Weapon X project and was brainwashed and given false memories. One thing they didn't expect after the adamantium feed to Logan's skeleton, he can go berserk. Which is the 'cause of his escape.

Also Wolverine's look in the trailer is modern, he's projected here in the anime as somewhat of a ninja demon killer/hunter or something.

Daken's has 2 "BONE" claws on his knuckles and one on his wrists.
Wild Thing has 3 claws similar to Wolverine, but has the energy projection which is similar to what Pyslocke has.
X-23 has 2 claws on each hand similar to Daken an one on each foot that comes out in between her toes.

So Daken has Bone Claws and our anime Wolverine doesn't, he has blade adamantium claws which means that is indeed Logan...for now. Unless it's a different person.

so that means he got his adamantium shot and then went back in time?

Note also this is the anime adaption might have a different storyline and origin.

Since we see Logan here not at his most "ORIGNAL" roots. Most likely it "MIGHT" also be a different person, not the Logan we know.

Much like Sara was replaced by the ever delicious MILF Masane in WitchBlade. AW! :heh:

marvel anime not bad idea

Errr, this isn't really like, Madhouse reinventing Wolverine. It's a Marvel project, and it's being written by Warren Ellis. All the Madhouse-Marvel Anime series are. He has already said it's being somewhat based on the Chris Claremont and Frank Miller miniseries. It'll be about Wolverine in Japan, but it's not by any means a reinvention or "another" Wolverine. :P

sigh im not impressed not even in the slightest i know for a fact i will be skipping this one just like how i skipped the movie. There has yet to be a decent wolverine adaptation live or otherwise.

Pretty much it is, but MadHouse took the designs to the next level, which is not impressive. As for having an alternate storyline it's just something we talk about here. Also seeing him as thin as in the intro and killing demons that's really a reinvention of Wolverine.

Well if Wolverine is in Japan here I guess the old storyline where he's being seduced by a Japanese girl in the old comics will be an insert storyline here. :p

If you're talking about just the visual design, sure. What I'm saying is this is not a reinvention of the character or the origins of Wolverine. The demons are just random stuff they put into the trailer. Ellis said the trailer does not represent the series or any of the storylines he's writing for the series. It's just something Madhouse animated to showcase the Wolverine design in a teaser format.

Just saw the interview. Well seems they've gone off on the wrong foot since after many saw the trailer, they thought it sucked, a new wolverine...etc. This will probably give MadHouse and Marvel something to look back on.

We have the first promo artwork of the upcoming Wolverine anime. It will take over Iron Man's place in January after the series concludes in December. The special program previewing the series will on 24th Dec 2010 on Animax Japan. The series will air sometime in 2011 on the G4 network in the US, after Iron Man. Currently there have been no announcement on the staff or cast of the series, aside from Warren Ellis writing the story outline.

Synopsis from previous press release:

"Wolverine" Based on the popular graphic novel by Frank Miller, the series begins in Japan, where Logan is challenged by Shingen Yashida, the notorious leader of a powerful mafia clan. When Shingen's employee Yukio, a female assassin, falls out of Shingen's favor, she must kill him or be killed. Teaming up with Logan, the pair seek out the villain to exact their revenge.

Why must it always has to be in Japan....

kenjiharima 2010-11-03 20:55

:heh:
They truly redesigned the looks as said.

This anime needs Silver Samurai as one of main baddies.

Master_Yoma 2010-11-03 22:13

Sigh why cant it play in the US on G4 and Japan at the same dam time

Because this title is geared for the Asian community and not the US community.

Iron Man was geared more for US fans.

Wolverine has actually had a few significant story arcs in Japan from the comics, so it's really not that much of a stretch.

kenjiharima 2010-11-04 19:10

Wolverine btw also had alot of story him traveling Asian countries and fighting Villains here and there.
Just wonder if Pyslocke or Elecktra will be here.

duckroll 2010-11-04 20:54

The Frank Miller/Chris Claremont Wolverine miniseries is the most ironic and famous stand alone story for Wolverine in the comics. It's not surprising that Warren Ellis decided to base the anime story arc on that. In fact, the plan for the upcoming sequel to the Wolverine movie is to adapt that story arc in live action as well.

That doesn't inspire much confidence. =/

Yeah well, I hope they incorporate the better elements this time and try and make this enjoyable to watch. Hopefully we wont have to wait till episode 5 to get to the meat.
