A very subpar anime. Hardly average.
|
The animation and character designs sucked. The whole production looks really low budget and rushed... as in, low effort. Backgrounds were drab, undetailed, and generally horrible.
Compare Wolverine to the first episode of X-Men. Big difference. The series started off well. The animation and pacing were good when the anime was set in Japan. It all went downhill when the focus shifted to Madripoor. The giant statue guardian sucked. Wasted opportunity to bring out a repurposed Sentinel or old colleague of Wolverine. The ending was dragged out. Spoiler for Disappointed in the ending.:

^Damn I was about to give this a chance until I read these last few posts...After the utter fail of Ironman I thought I was gonna be in for a treat having slept on the whole Wolverine Project, but having veiwed a very question youtube trailer and now skimming some comments here it looks as if more FAIL for "Marvelime"...
Edit: Checked out the reboot trailer and while the action looks effwitabbble, it does have a clear cheapness to it that's disappointing...I will however watch ep 1 now... |

Armor, not being an original Japanese character, also has a chance of surviving in X-Men. That was a sad ending. Not as sad as the Wolverine movie ending though. |

I was hoping they'd pull through with the comic ending that the series was based off of, but I guess we can't always have super happy endings. Spoiler:

He has a super healing factor and he stores adamantium blades in his arms. |
I noticed there was a tracker up for this before the license choice, shouldn't that warning also be up for the Iron Man and Power Puff Girls anime in that case?

Wolverine never gets a girl in the end and just fights.
Spoiler for last ep.:
