Hello and welcome to the Nightcore Discussion & Sharing Thread.

I saw the sub-title about "Anime music" to be something as J-Pop or something else.
Well, everyone that is into Nightcore knows that Anime goes alongside it, since they are both Cute, Cool and simply Awesome. :)

What is Nightcore?

I could go on and on about it, but to keep it short, Nightcore can be seen as a glorified term for "speed edits" of Techno/Trance/Dance songs.
If you want an expanded explanation, I suggest you to read it here.

How can I Nightcore a song?

• Well, first, you would need to find a song that is either Techno, Trance or a Dance song with a lot of vocals. (Female vocals are really wanted)
• After that, download a program called Audacity. With it, you can Open a song and Edit it. Open the song you want to Nightcore and raise it's Pitch as well as Tempo between 20-30%. How much is the best is up to you to decide, try a few times!
• When you find the result you like, Export the song by doing: File > Export > Export it as an MP3 file, 320 kbps (HQ).
• Now you have your own Nightcored song and you can upload it on public sites such as YouTube for others to hear and see!

Im actually listening to it as I saw this thread xD I love nightcore, other than Japanese songs it's all I listen to ^_^

I like the nightcore song about ice cream.

Sounds nice, although Pitch is way too low at the start. :)

I listened to a lot of Nightcore in my freshman year of highschool. Brings back memories. For a while it's all I listened to. Staying up late, sometimes did a mock rave with friends (I still have the strobe lights and glowsticks from then), all good times. Most of the time I prefer these over the original versions. Here are some of my favorites.

I notice these all have anime pictures but the songs usually have nothing to do with anime...?

People just started uploading these songs along with anime girl pics. I guess for a lot of people high pitched female singing coupled with techno/rave vibes equals anime. The original two guys who started this never had anime in mind.

That is because both, the Anime girls and Nightcore are meant to express Cuteness as well as Energy.

The increased Pitch gives cuteness, while Tempo increases the activity of your brain and makes you more 'active'. :D

But they fit, don't they?

That would be Thomas S. Nilsen and Steffen Ojala Søderholm.

Do not know about their starting intentions, but they took Anime and Nightcore crossover quite nicely.

Take a look at Maikel631(1) for example.
His YouTube channel is full of Anime girls next to Nightcore songs.

It was kind of funny how a little over a year ago, those two announced they were making a comeback. I was pretty excited, but they've only made 2 (3?) songs since... All good stuff though, just was expecting more.

I absolutely adore Nightcore.

I remember my VERY first nightcore I listened to was Moonlight Shadow / Butterfly.

When I listen or hear those I get an blast from the past.

Yeah, in the end it fits in a way I guess.
