Apparently the 3rd movie opens fall of next year. No news on the 4th movie, but Khara's Twitter says that the 4th movie will still be aired together with the Quickening. That means give or take a year's wait. MORE things for Reckoner to gripe about!

Incidentally there was a preview video showing Asuka in that funky patched plug-suit from Newtype, but it was taken down Youtube almost ASAP. :( Any news on the Niconico front?

And do take into account that it took like 10 months for 2.22 to be released on DVD and BluRay after its theatrical release too, so this means that it's not impossible that we'll have to wait for almost two years...

Sigh. So another 2 years still. How frustrating.

Though perhaps for me that'll be a good thing if this movie turns out to be bad. Unfortunately featuring rebuild asuka to me in a trailer is not a good way to get me excited. That CGI better not be the final product either because that was damn fugly.

Oh well.. I'll try to enter this movie optimistically. Don't disappoint me again Anno...

Err, how is this doing so? It looks like they just did a patch-job on EVA-02, plus the concept of void-hardened equipment for Evangelions has been circulating in the fandom (if one chooses to ignore ANIMA) since at least the early 2000s.

Actually that sounds to me that you're EXPECTING to be disappointed.

I truly hope deep inside that this movie is amazing. It's just hard for me to be ultra positive considering the massive disappointment that 2.0 was.

Yes, I can't wait for this. I hope this can get shown in English cinema's but I highly doubt it.
