No! we are not going to get any incest just before any of you guys start

I suspect that it will take around half an ep to finish nanaka's flashback, but then what? Go back and have secks with Sana thats what

serenade_beta 2007-12-24 21:19

Expectation:

Sana's past gets revealed.
What ALL of the characters are doing at the end (Hinako, Asami, Kaji, all of the ones that somehow disappeared from existence)
Something decently good for an end, not a huh-concert like DCII.

Of course we won't see twincest; we can assume it already happened off screen.

Still looking for a better reason for Nanaka's slap in episode 1, but I suppose we'll never see one.

Expectations :-

Anything that prevents todays ending episode from being one of the worst endings this season or this week. Hopefully True Tears will do a better job next season. Merry Christmas everyone.

Hey, it's not too late to say that Nanaka is actually Shana's long lost step sister his mum forgot to mention. Really, the show had nothing going for it until the whiff of incest became strong in the air. :heh: Incest banzai.~

Fully expecting an anticlimactic ending.

Too bad; the show had potential at the start.

Merry Xmas.

If we had 26 eps we just might have gotten ourselves some nice twincest and fleshed out psycho Asami.

0 for 3, serenade_beta.

But I hope you enjoyed the episode anyway.

You're giving the writers too much credit. Given how unfocused the storytelling has been, it's obvious that they had little clue of where to take the stories and characters (thus relying on cheap plot twists to try and thrill the viewer).

Psycho Asami was the invention of the game creators, and there's no indication that the anime staff even knew anything about her character aside from the basic personality description (portrayed in very different ways between the two projects).

DanielSong39 2007-12-25 15:52

Cheap plot twists can still work as long as there is still logic behind them. The trick is to make them cheaper and cheapter until the underlying story collapses in spectacular fashion.

But they couldn't even pull that off. I think an unbelievably twisted and BAD ending would've worked better here.

P.S. As for Asami, her portrayal pretty much falls on its face. In the game she had an inferiority complex with Nanaka. In the anime she IS superior to Nanaka and thus has no grounds for going berserk.

Man, another expectation goes down in flames; thank goodness you guys are an accommodating bunch.

As for the concert...

If Nanaka can become a famous pro, maybe I should work on the violin for 10 years so I can become a famous pro as well. (Insert punchline here)

I realize this is anime, but this should give you an idea of the level of play that a future pro has, even at 10 years old.
