I seriously can't get enough with K-ON...really made my day,and really worth it for me to wait for the raw to come out.And even if its not as eye popping as the previous episode,still episode 5 is amazing!

In this episode,Mugi went to the school festival's committee,to send their application for performing in the school festival,but since their club is not established yet,so their application was rejected.It was all because of Ritsu didn't send the club establishment form to the school student council just because of some cake.However since Yui's childhood friend Nodoka is on the student council,so she agreed to help them.However they still have trouble in establishing their club,since they don't have a club advisor.

Sawako sensei,which is their choice to become the club advisor,without them knowing it,has her own history with the light music club.In the end (i think) she agreed to become their club advisor.

And in the last scene before the ED,Mio was chosen to become the group vocalist,after seeing Yui's performance in singing :heh:

And yeah,abit yuri feeling from Mugi in this episode...although its not really yuri..but her expression really get Mio and Ritsu to misunderstand her.

Lol, after hearing people hyping her so much I called the teacher character about a half a mile away including the whole Krauserish bit (since they've used this reference twice already and if there's one thing I know Kyoani loves to do it's milk a reference) and the apparent over the top guitar playing sequence because "it's as expected of Kyoani." Oh Kyoani.....I could practically write these things at this point. Now just to see how loud her actual voice is in terms of over the topness. :heh:

On the other more serious hand, it looks like we might actually be hitting a little teency wincy bit of background portions for some characters and dealing with stuff that actually has a little more to do with the music premise of the series so at this point I really can't complain. Seems like it could all end up predictable and ho-hum, but at least they seem to be trying a bit more now. Hopefully that means I can start giving some props once the sub comes out, and hopefully that also means I'm not setting my expectations to high again. Maybe I should just nix everything I just said from my mind and go in cold though just to be safe.

The face was made by Ranka Lee in something to do with Macross Frontier. I think it was the post opening eyecatch, but can't recall exactly. Maybe her cellphone ID.

Very enjoyable episode. Full of laughs all around. Maybe it helped that most of the episode wasn't aiming at moe like an idiot like before...
Hmm? The scene where Mio kept on whimpering over some silly stuff? Such a pathetic scene does not exist, Mr. Rooster.

Still... Mugi does have some yuri tendencies... Well, not herself, but it seems she likes looking at yuri... Or something like that. :heh:

Was a little worried about this show until this episode. All-around hilarious and enjoyable.

Sensei was... AMAZING. I love how she goes crazy to get her guy back and at the end he's like, "... you overdid it."

I suppose even KyoAni has a budget to save but they have avoided putting the camera on characters when they're playing instruments. Though there was that bit at the end this ep, and judging by the preview, hopefully we'll be in for a treat next week.

I loved the magazine binoculars.

Nothing much to add, except that it confirms Kyoani definitely deserves credit for their high production values in this, with smooth scene transitions, dramatization, gags and stuff. Though it felt a bit cheap at parts with the still screens. But whatever.

And in the end, Mio will still be the lead singer. Nice job there. I was fooled for awhile, with Yui showing so much enthusiasm to it. :heh:
