Katanagatari is airing in the noitaminA block for spring season.

My books arrived alas. These things take so long for it to be shipped.

And so my prediction has come true.
The reairing will have new OP and ED by niconico artists replacing the old ones.
OP is "拍手喝采歌合" by the quite famous supercell. ("Applause Poetry Contest")
ED is "言ノ葉" (Leaves of words) by Piko.

Both songs are a lot more fitting than I thought. I think I'll like the ED once I hear a longer version.

OPEDs are indeed MADs using scenes from the series and DVD cover artwork. They're not particularly bad, they're well-done edits, just kinda cheap to use in an actual broadcasting. The songs are alright but I wouldn't take them over the original 14 (all of which were amazing by the way).
The worst thing though is that they chopped some scenes down for time, and this matches with prescreening reports. I wonder if it's even the same way on the BD-Box in which case... wow, way to screw around with the customer, Aniplex.

I don't about you but I really liked this new ED. I was never a fan of the second OP from the original. The new ED isn't my favorite among the 13 EDs but it's definitely a high spot taker.

The vocalist makes me want to strangle myself.
Usually only vocaloids have that kinda effect.
