That "character" is generally considered to be a hoax, I think. If I remember the images, she was a "euphonium" player.

A 'euphemism' player would have been great too, but Mugi has that covered.

Is it officially "Houkago Tea Time" (the spelling I've noticed the most before)
or "Hōkago" (the character usually used for the "ou"-sound)
or "Ho-kago" (the spelling on the new singles)

As far as I know, they're all correct, it just depends on how you want to spell it out.

I use "Ho-Kago", because it's written that way on official materials, but the other spellings wouldn't technically be incorrect. It's a stylisation, like another Japanese girl band, SCANDAL, whose name is always written in capital letters.

The thing to remember with Japanese use of romaji is that they don't really *have* a standard spelling for anything with it. Frequently, the choices are made because of when they learned their romaji or just because of the *way it looks*. The shape of the Alphabet can be considered exotic.

It is like the Pirate Code: "Its really more a set of guidelines, you know"

More seriously... someone *did* post photos for a number of the reference locations in Japan used in K-On's anime background artwork. This is *very* common in a lot of "daily life" anime. Someone may beat me to it, but will try to find them later this weekend.

Its name hasn't been revealed yet, now it's just Sakura High School's Anthem.

Is it just me, or Azunyan is just ridiculously cute with her lolicious dress sense and her kitty-like squeals of :

1. Nyuup!~ (when scared by a baseball)
2. Nyaaa!?~ (when hugged by Yui from behind)

No, it's not just you. There's something about how she says it that makes you wanna hug her and pet her. No wonder Yui is so attached to her.
