Seems Shishido and company got owned hard. Also, down to Earth next episode.

-holy sh*t that was awesome episode
-the entire good side got owned... and i mean owned badly.
-benkei can absorb leopard's soul shout, and redirect it back. it damaged leopard's colony badly
-benkei also fired seems like a "nerval pulse", which affected anyone with the nerval symbol on them(takane, honoka, and those elders that honoka talked with in epi 10). the pulse shut down the shishido's override control on kirkwood, and override it with nerval control.
-firing the pulse also signals xanthippe to arrive, with colony drones that look like the small nerval colony when nerval fought against leopard in epi 7. they stuck their giant knives inside the kirkwood colony, and froze everyone.
-aleida got into the shishido temple, and pwned everyone, but the elders saved kazane by ejecting her to safety.
-takane is under the influence of nerval, and fought against itsuki, honoka and akiha.
-leopard went suicide by ramming his colony to benkei to force both to crash on earth.
-somehow i think leopard went stupid like episode 1. he ejected himself from the colony(the rubix cube part of himself), and let his colony body to continue to force benkei to crash to earth
-akiha, itsuki, and honoka attempts to pull the lever on leopard's colony body again in episode 1, but takane prevents them from doing so, cause she's under nerval influence, and also she kicks ass


in short: this episode was utter utter utter defeat for the good guys, nerval wins in a landslide.

...(-_-; ) Eh...? Complete defeat? The speed of this episode was fast... (O_O) The scale was too big to keep up with, ah, I'm tired.
Well, it was interesting... But just left me in silence as everything just went to hell (in both a story-meaning and development-meaning). Suddenly a bunch of colonies pop up and start controlling the colonies and then some mark of something appears and Takane gets controlled for some reason yet Honoka seemed fine and, etc, etc... Chaos...

So the three important people with Kazane is dead, Takane is controlled, Benkei and Megane show that they are pretty much grunts, whose reason to fight is jealousy/revenge and existence appeal, and the two "foo~" girls might be dead, and we don't know what happens to Akiha and the rest, and Zero-bot ejects and Benkei and Megane ejects...
Haa... Chaotically filled episode...

And in the meantime, our cute little traitor is sightseeing in the North Pole or somewhere.

Shame on you, Megane. There's an anime whose heroine is just as air as you, but you don't see her begging and causing trouble to...... *cough* never mind.

I always assumed the open was a bunch of cool scenes that we would newer see.

well no one really knows if the OP holds any truth to any spoiler or not, i for one just enjoy the OP, and don't take it seriously for future spoilers(learned that lesson from code geass OPs :heh:)

judging by what happened in epi 12, leopard could be under the sea, crashed on land, or crashed on both land and sea(cause there's his body and there's his brain)

i for one want leopard's body to crash on land, and his brain crash on himself, making a good dent :D

The key to Leopard's defeat seems to be Benkei absorbing "soul shout". But shouldn't the redirected blast have done more damage to Leopard's? Either Leopard's colony is strong enough not to get completely destroyed by his own blast like his enemies or Benkei saved some of the power for his "Nerval pulse".

I noticed that Nervals fleet didn't jump in until they were sure Leopard's wasn't a treat. 4-6 snake colonies and the female colony that picked up Nerval a few episode back. At First I thought that Leopard never had a chance but after think and running the raw in a loop it now seems more that they didn't want to jump in and possibly face Leopard's "soul shout" until they were sure Benkei could do his part.

The fight at the lever confused me though. Takane causing it to be pressed down after succeeding to prevent the others from doing it. Wasn't the lever pressed down in the right direction in the end of the fight to restore Leopard power? Seems like it was useless since Leopard had abandoned ship/colony already.

Is it possible that Leopard can make the right decisions but does it in such a way that the they just want to kick his ass anyway?

Leopard's anti-matter cannon can apparently blow away half the moon, but Benkei's redirected fire only blew a small hole in Leopard. Most likely explanation: Benkei only used a small portion of the energy and used the rest for the Nerval pulse.

And then it's funny how they're in danger of burning up in the atmosphere when their bodies can apparently take some amount of anti-matter fire. Lolriffic indeed.

Anti-matter reactions usually results in gamma ray frequency photon (and other sub-atomic e.g. pion) particles. The defences may not be tuned for infer-red and kinetic type threats.

Anti-matter are particles that have opposite spin. Since Leopard generates anti-matter particles, Benkei may have the means to negate this i.e. undo particles's opposite spin.

Remember, this civilization has ability manipulate quantum physics.

Benkei was known as Bonaparte, a very normal looking Brain Colony, but he despised how normal he was and abandoned his old shell for this new one. He hates Leopard for being special and wants to take him down.

I don't know how Kazane is dead when she was shown force ejected out of the place with an escape pod.

If you're talking about Tsutsuji, she's clearly suffering from negative traits that make her a Nervalist, she's behaving exactly what Nerval is looking for. There's nothing wrong with her and Benkei working for Nerval for such reasons, they're helping Nerval in the first place because they have suck weak minds and Nerval gives them a purpose.

Benkei stealing all the mirrors was the solution to countering Leopard Cannon, but not just that.

Yes, Benkei only returned just enough blast to Leopard to damage him enough. The rest of the energy from the Anti-Matter is needed to power the Nerval pulse which overrides Absolute Break Control and awakens all who were previously affected by Nerval with his tattoo.

This is also coupled with direct physical takeover of the entire Islands with the Snake Colonies.

The whole thing is a plan to take down the main Island which the Shishidou Headquaters were based at.

Very intense episode, it seem.
