Poor Yuri. Poor poor Yuri. Somebody would have told me last week that I would cry over her story, I'd have laugh hard. But I did. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to watch that episode again. That was sickening.
Damn sicko rapist father. That reminded me of Shigofumi, where the father who is a writer, also abuse his daughter and uses her body to write his novel, disturbing to the max. In Yuri's case, I hope the death fate choose for him was painful and horrible in every aspects.

Pretty sure it's actually supposed to be an analogue to how she was engulfed in flame in the first opening but the flame here the flame is small, almost fizzling out. Because she's losing/lost her determination to follow the diary.

However, you do bring up a good point regard the connection to Momoka being engulfed in flames in the actual episode.

Souma that was total lame -_- A prince rescuing a princess can't fail in the climax part. Getting tripped by a bottle. And Hot drugged Ringo in Bondage. Yuri knows her thing. Kanba being emo Kanba still doing all the dirty work. Being plunge more and more into the dark syndicate which I don't have much clue yet. While Sanetoshi do a simple thing of handing down the muffler to Double H made Himari extremely happy. Such sad guy :D

The real focus of this episode is Yuri and her back story with Momoka and her sick father. Good thing that her father is gone now and Momoka finally revealed the power to alter destiny. Cute Momoka will be surely loved by all. So while altering the destiny. The owner of the diary will get hurt. Small sacrifice for bigger purpose. Now if the diary can show the future I wonder why Momoka didn't avoid that train? or did she do it to alter someone's destiny. Because that's a huge sacrifice. A much bigger mystery was shown after that flashback. And man a an awesome lady fight between Yuri and Natsume. Natsume's dive to get the fake diary and dive to the sea with Esmeralda. Such epic ping pong battle :heh: :heh: but oh well dummy diary. Yuri is smarter than that. To carry around the diary will be surely dangerous.

Since Momoka said that when using diary one must pay a price maybe, maybe Tabuki used the diary and that's how he got the scars?

Who would have thought that Momoka's diary could literally warp reality? I mean, the tower that looked like Michaelangelo's David pretty much turned into (what seems to be) Tokyo Tower over the course of a few hours, as a result changing Yuri's fate (if I understood right, her insane father would have killed her in that last 'session').

At what price though? We saw Momoka burning away, but aside from the obvious injuries that got her hospitalized, what else did she have to give to save her friend?

Diving into the ocean with a diary (even if it's fake) was probably not the best plan. Yuri is even more hot with her past uncovered and mad ping pong skills. Now I can't even begin to fathom what messed up crap Tabuki is going to inevitably reveal about his past. Good to see Sho switch out of Shinji Ikari mode, even if he failed miserably in his white knight role. :p LoL@Sho's ringtone as well. I'm not sure what self-respecting man would use that one. :heh:
