OP and ED is so wonderful and fitting for this anime.

I'm anticipating for the full version, anyway when's it out?

Westlo 2011-05-04 09:10

The ED single was released last week, sold 9k for the opening week iirc.

Pellissier 2011-05-04 10:24

OP Single is due for June 15. (it's not a typo, it's actually more than a month away..)

Personally I'm loving both OP and ED. The visual OP/ED sequences in the anime are also fantastic and they match the musics a lot.

FireChick 2011-05-05 14:33

I agree with you! I love both the OP (WHY MUST YOU BE RELEASED IN JUNE!? IT'S TOO FAR AWAY!!!) and the ED! They both fit the show perfectly and I love the singers too!:D The BGMs themselves are also very good!

The OP and ED are very well done. I do not know the artists, but when I play the series through all speakers, the OP and ED sound absolutely fantastic. Good guitar work and very nice vocals. Additionally, the visuals, especially for the OP, are quite good, and very relevant to the story and well coordinated with the music.

The Op is really starting the grow on me, both the song and animation. June 15? really?

charizardpal 2011-05-13 19:06

I understand the ending is sung by the girl characters, but who sings the opening? They should have made it be Jinta Poppo and Yukiatsu to match.

Also is there a reason they recycled two 10 year old songs for the OP & ED of this anime?

Shadow5YA 2011-05-13 19:16

I like the lead-in to the ED. I haven't seen an anime do that since Toradora.

Dobby 2011-05-13 19:38

The lead in to the EDs in the previous episodes continue to impress me. It's so subtle and it works wonders each time.

I really really cannot wait for the OP to come out in full. Here's to hoping iTunes Japan will have it ready in time/early (Like they did with Kimi ni Todoke 2).

The OP is 10 years old? O_O

Who was the artist then? o_O

WordShaker 2011-05-14 07:25

A rock band called Galileo Galilei. Here be a link to a sample of Aoi Shiori: http://www.sonymusic.co.jp/?70005467...SECL-975_01SFL

Shadow5YA 2011-05-14 12:02

Aoi Shiori seems to be taken directly from Galileo Galilei. At least Secret Base was remade from Zone's song.

Flower 2011-05-14 13:36

Have found myself really growing to like the end song of this series.... :)

woodearth 2011-05-14 14:41

All clues point to the fact that the OP is an original song created for the show. The credits list Galileo Galilei as the artist and the fact a rock band is involved is no different than any other anime. A search of amazon.co.jp shows 2009 as the oldest album for the group and as far as I can tell the OP is not on that album. So the song is certainly not 10 years old. The sample linked has the same cover art as the CD to be released June 15.

Unless the real Galileo knew Japanese and composed a song, the OP is not an oldie but a newbie.

Really like the ED. Hayami Saori is a given, but the other two sound really good as well.

Sebasu 2011-06-01 08:33

Did everyone already saw the PV for Aoi Shiori? I love how it's shot in the bridge similar to the ones in the actual OP.

The full/longer(?) version of the song is pretty nice too. I'm surprised that the female vocals play a bigger role in the second stanza. At first on the tv-size I thought it's just for background. Reminds me of a mellower Base Ball Bear. I really loved it, can't wait for the single release.

FireChick 2011-06-02 18:26

Where's this PV? I must see!

If it doesn't work, go to the band's official site and click the bottom left ad that says "Music Video".
