RIP Michael Jackson

My hands are kinda shaking as I type this to be honest... :T_T:

BBC got a live video streaming, but haven't confirmed it on their end just yet, but more and more news sources are stating this as official and not just some hoax it seems...

The star was due to begin a series of comeback concerts with an appearance at London's O2 arena on 13 July.
That would have seriously have been his final concert, but he didn't even make it. *shaken*

Kinda seriously freaked out atm, will pop back in here later, feel free to keep updates....
(kinda ain't believing it just yet though...)

Spectacular_Insanity 2009-06-25 17:11

Everyone dies sometime. I guess it was just his time. RIP for the first black man to turn into a white woman.

Kyero Fox 2009-06-25 17:11

get ready for people to not care.

Unlike me, this is seriously a sad day. not as sad as the Crocodile Hunter's death, but still :(

Kakashi 2009-06-25 17:13

Yeah. BBC has announced it on the live feed now. He'll be sorely missed, I was a big fan.

Maybe he'll respawn soon - it took even Jesus 3 days, remember

Unfortunately true.

We are just as likely to hear jokes in supremely bad taste as words of condolence.

Just heard it from my mom and she's freaking out right now, came flying back home to hear the news.
:(

Yeah I know, people love him, people hate him, on my end I've been talking about him all week cause of the final concerts in London which I was gonna miss out on but my friends all got tickets for...

Like marmite, whether you love or hate him (or don't care) - facts remain changed that he has changed the music industry in the last 50 years and achieved some amazing things.

LA Times report that he's in a coma actually....
*holds onto frail hope*

I guess we still need something really official, grr........
><;;;;;;

Vexx 2009-06-25 17:20

Assuming its confirmed... I'll just stick with the memories I have of "Jackson 1" (with the Jackson 5) and "Jackson 2" (the 80s Jackson who put out some of the slickest music videos made during the heyday of the concept).

Sheba 2009-06-25 17:21

Fuck, that's another piece of my childhood crumbling. I remember the chills down my spine the first time I saw Thriller music video back in the day. This changed the cinematography of music videos pretty much.

Yahoo also makes a report, but does not declare him as being dead.

EDIT:

Wich has now changed to actually report his dead. >_<

Coruja 2009-06-25 17:29

I read it a few minutes ago...

I never really felt sympathy for the guy (as in, never cared for his music), but this is really sad, he was still very young.

R.I.P.

Also, I think this is pretty much killing my whole internet. Most websites/livejournal won't open here. :S

wingdarkness 2009-06-25 17:32

Wow, Farrah Facett might aswell have not died today, this is going to be the story of the Summer...Wow, this is unbelievable...We'll all remember where we were when this happened...Just too much to take...Very sad day for American pop culture indeed...

Mystique 2009-06-25 17:34

*still holding onto frail hope*
Major news sources are still awaiting official word from the hospital though, nothing official has been given.
(Even if he's in a coma, I guess he may not survive it...) :T_T:

Kusa-San 2009-06-25 17:36

OK, I don't know what to say I just don't realize yet. It's just not possible for me...

Deathkillz 2009-06-25 17:37

I love his music and still do...MJ is one of my fondest childhood memories and he was always so cool. Love him or hate him, he did make history in the music world. He still is the King of Pop.

Key Board 2009-06-25 17:41

His life was both glorious and tragic

He is an iconic example of how child actors grow up to be unhappy adults

AnimeFangirl 2009-06-25 17:45

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Is that enough Os or should I add more? I just spent a whole day last week wiki'ing everything about him. I was such a huge fan when I was a kid. *sigh*

That's the way of all flesh though. It comes to everybody sooner or later.

Bonta Kun 2009-06-25 17:46

He is indeed still the King of Pop, no one can deny his music is great.

Quite hard to believe this really.

R.I.P

MakubeX2 2009-06-25 17:46

.....And thus begin what could be a long and messy affair of dividing of what remain of his fortune since I don't think he left a will.

And what will become of his young children ?

zeggy 2009-06-25 17:47

I AM VERY SAD 2 DAY:(

At least he converted to Islam like he wanted and his brother jermaine wanted him to before he died

- THE BEST SINGER EVER -

HurricaneHige 2009-06-25 17:48

R.I.P. Michael Jackson

Even though this is not exact anime related...his music was a big influence to the NA culture as well as overseas (One Piece had a character designed after MJ)

So...R.I.P. Michael Jackson 1958-2009.
