It's coming!

Most likely it’s just me not paying enough attention to how many episodes this series got, but... it ends already??!:twitch: I’m surprised due to my ignorance :p.
|
Man, i forgot this was on noitamina...
|
It seems there's a major spoiler in PV.

Spoiler for Episode 22 (End):
|
So basically we have 'history repeats, but something is changing' sort of ending. It seems everyone is exchanging their roles and history repeats, with different set of characters and new roles. A cycle...of sort
Akane -> Gino (An inspector who became colder after a key case) Gino -> Kougami (An inspector demoted to enforcer after a key case, where his key person got killed) Masaoka -> Sasayama (An enforcer killed in the key case and served to change other characters as well) The naive newcomer Mika -> Akane (Taking her role, of course) And, Kougami -> Makishima? I know it's sorta pushing it, but it seems Kougami has picked up some literature reading habbit like Makishima. The book he's reading at the end is In Search of Lost Time: Swann's Way BTW, is that Professor Saiga with the chief in the ending credits? |
I think it was a nice ending , not perfect , but nice . I really wanted to see Makishima and Akane talking about the sybil system , but what ever . It seems like Kogami is on a boat , I think he is leaving Japan and maybe heading to the USA ? Or was it a prison transport ? Who knows , maybe the end also hinted a sequel , but I think it was rather a conclusion , just to round things up , to prove the power of the system again .
|
I wish 2nd season turns out, probably just 12 episode when Kogami goes to sibyl system to shut it down, just like Akane said, that one day someone would come to turn them off!
|
The ending. So Kogami shooting Makishima was a way of showing mercy? I believe the best thing Kogami could do is searching a more peaceful job but that's not what he wants.
|
Eh... I don't know what to make of this. It feels like Akane's efforts negotiating with Sybil amounted to nothing in the end.
|
I like the fight scenes in the episode.
Did not fancy the ending though. |
Wow, what an ending.
I enjoyed it. The role reversals, coming full circle. Good stuff. And even a nice lesbian scene between Yayoi and Shion. As an ending it makes sense. If they went the path of just shutting down the system, it would end with "well the country is in chaos now, oh damn, we're out of time" The End. Now its a bittersweet ending with at least the hope that one day, the people won't need such a system in place. |
It's a solid ending, but it's nothing fantastic. Enjoyed the series overall. From the ending, maybe we can see a little bit more of the Sibyl System.

great end for this anime great!
a new inspector, Kogami a fugitive, Gino become enforcer ..... I want a season 2!!! >< and Yayoi and Shion scene....... |
Theres no need for more. Maybe some backstories of characters but not the continuation. The end is perfect for me.
And yeah, dat Shion - Yayoi scene! |
I certainly didn't expect a "break free of the system" kind of conclusion, but color me quite unimpressed and annoyed by the "and things come into a circle" ploy, considering the build up so far is, practically speaking, meaningless at this point.
There wasn't any "magically universal good ending" possible with this series to begin with, that's a given. However, being sent back to square one is rather a major gripe with me. |
I liked the ending. It didn't pull anything flashy out of nowhere or execute any sudden deux ex machina.
Spoiler for 22:
Yeah, There had really better be a second season of this! |
