War Mangas

Anybody know some good war mangas? By war I mean stuff like Ares, Shinobi no kuni, Basilisk, that kind of stuff.

For futuristic naval battles, you can try Arpeggio of Blue Steel. As for medieval war, you can read Ryuroden that took place in the warring era in China. There's also Break Blade if you like mecha wars.

Modern/Futuristic: Red Eyes (Jun Shindo)

Medieval: Drifters (fantasy), Sengoku(historical), Gunka no Baltzar(historical-ish, set on Fantasy Counterpart Culture of the North German Confederation), Shoukoku no Altair (historical-ish, set on Fantasy Counterpart Culture of the Seljuks/Ottomans)

Red Eyes is legally published in my country so I don't have trouble getting it, but scanlations stagnated at chapter 25 and I don't know if you can get newer ones on the net. Drifters is updated monthly, and only about 18 pages per chapter, so you're gonna have to be a bit patient. Sengoku seems to be dropped by scanlators or at least put on hold, but the ones already scanlated showed promise. Baltzar is still new, so there hasn't been any huge on-screen battle yet, but the story is set just after a huge war and there are signs of a new one brewing. Altair took a while (19-20 chapters) before the war began but it's quite interesting too; I haven't read it in a while but I think it still gets updated each month.

Try Kingdom : the 2006 ongoing 25-volume historical adventure manga follows the life of two children trying to reach their dreams as conquerors of the Han Empire in China. There's lot of war in this manga.

it is not about the Han Empire

it is about the Rise of the Emperor of Qin and the conquest of China during the Warring State Period.

One more
Historie - it is about the raise of Alexander the Great told form his secretary Eumenes's pov.

Vinland Saga. The latest arc is joked as being "Farmland Saga" instead, but before that we had a very long "Prologue" of quite a few volumes of one of the most epic Viking military action ever drawn.

Otherwise I second The Ravages of Time and Shoukoku no Altair. Altair is really more politics and adventure than war, though; likewise for Historie, where hot-blooded action is secondary to the historical scale.
