Sort of a n00bish question regarding drama CDs [Fake]
Um, I'm going to be all n00b on you and post the question that's been bugging me for a while now. There are some fansub groups or similar interested in translating drama CDs, right? If I'm wrong, just tell me and I'll quit. Only if I'm right, I just got the FAKE: -Final Act- drama CD for Christmas and I only know the odd word of Japanese. It's an entertaining listen for me and I can get an idea of what's going on, but I can't help thinking that it would be better with subtitles or something. :p Again, I'm none too sure about the exact nature of 'raws' but I have the CD ripped to my computer; would anybody would be interested? I very much doubt it's licensed in the US.
I don't know if this is the right forum for my question. If not, feel free to move it. ^_^' *~Pips~* |
I've heard of interest in subbing Drama CDs before, but it almost never happens. I'm afraid that I only know of two Drama CDs that were ever subtitled. It is a terrible shame that there aren't more. For a little while some people were talking of subbing the Mai-HiME Drama CDs and while a member posted scripts on our site, nobody ever got serious about subbing them.
In case you're curious, there are two fansubbed drama CDs listed on AnimeSuki. Evangelion Audio Drama |
Thanks very much for your help. ^_^ It was the Evangelion audio drama that bought my attention to the potential usefulness of my CD- I just downloaded it, and although I'm away from home right now, the bit I had time to watch seemed really good. I think something like that would work very well with FAKE, which is pretty much character based, but if it's not really something fansub groups are interested in doing, I won't press the matter. :)
