Hmm not really a fan of this series, it's not till the very end of the 2nd volume where you start to kinda know where this series is going to be about before that it was kinda boring and confusing as to what this series was trying to be.

True that the story doesn't seem very clear at first, but i will have a look at the manga and then the anime since Shaft is going to produce it :p. Furthermore, with the same producer than for Nanoha, it can't be completly bad! ^-^

Another SHAFT/Shinbo's anime that I'll be looking forward to. Both my favorite mangaka, Jin, and studio/director, SHAFT/Shinbo, are united here, can't ask for more, heh. Having said that, the manga didn't give me much excitement as School Rumble did, except for the ending, which I hope Jin Kobayashi will throw in a decent end this time.
Manga's chap 8 had been translated by townsocks, but he had stopped translate it ever since.

OHHHHH~~~YES!!! KJ must be reading my posts in animesuki. lol :heh:

I posted in the SR forum that a bad end to a manga and anime should be followed up by another anime of sorts that is interesting. Seeing NNA is a fresh story even as SR was still being publish and the anime OVA was announced, I turn to this manga to have a little breather on KJ's SR, so it won't be always the love love spinning comedy.

NNA lets me explores KJ's writting ability and it got me interested. The male lead may not be much, but the girls in my book in ANY anime makes up for it. ;)

BTW gotta wonder what will they look when they're animated?

I've read the first 4 chapters, and it's ok, but decided to stop because not many are translated. The first scenerio in the manga was somewhat amusing, so hopefully it can reach the level i consider SR on.

Just read the first chapter of the manga (and half of the second chapter), well... it's kind of okay, but not so amusing for me. This kind of series, I believe, is not something Shinbo ever done before; this give me an unease feeling, but then Takayama Katsuhiko is doing the screenplay, so maybe it'll be interesting...

Looking forward to the character design, though I believe the person in charge of Pani Poni Dash character design will do it.

Couldn't finish the first chapter, but I'll wait and see if the anime will be interesting. Mostly because I couldn't handle Kobayashi's artwork in a manga other than School Rumble, partially because the characters didn't look interesting.
And... a new reason, Kobayashi's wonderful ending to School Rumble.

KJ did the New Hentai Kamen manga which the art is modernized adapt to our time. Also he did it without any pantie shots, has omake appearances of old characters in Hentai Kamen and it's less ecchi and more on comedy! The one shot of H-Kamen was funny, hope he does more chapters and I gotta hand it to him there, he's a great comedy writer and a non-ecchi guy too.

But here in NNA this will test his story telling skills. Also the manga of NNA has better artwork than school rumble I might add. The story gets interesting as your read more chapters up to the latest ones. Also don't hope for panty shots here pervs lol KJ is not that kind of artist. :heh:

I can't wait to watch this. The female character is a fusion between Eri and Yakumo :heh:. I hope this series doesn't get screwed like SR because I felt sad when SR ended in such a way.

It won't since KJ, learns from mistakes. This one is opposite of SR a slow start, but gains interest onwards.

All we know is that it'll air sometime in 2009.

I'll be in this for the Shinbo and SHAFT factor, though i may try out the manga sometime soon.

Damn that sucks I might as well wait for it to get animated. Most likely it's probably out in the spring since they announce it around this time.

Okay, so thing get much more interesting after the first four chapters. It's really boring at first, but once they've revealed more stuffs, it's becoming much better. I'm glad I didn't give up reading. :heh:

Shaft has Bakemonogatari (presumably) in Spring, so no. Judging from the title, it should be Summer.

kenjiharima 2008-11-23 22:16

This probably is my summer anime for 2009.

Iam interested on the 2 lead girls and the others too. Many I think would comment on this at first site that theirs a girl here that looks like Yakumo+Eri design.

Also I wonder what the intro and end will be. :)

Ha! My thoughts exactly.

Well I'm torn. I was thinking about this manga today. I read 6 chapters before and didn't like it much, protagonist is a bit weird and simple. The story doesn't seem extraodinary.

On the other hand I like SHAFT.

So maybe I will try out the manga again.
