I never wanted this.

I thought it wouldn't get another season because the movie chronologically takes place after Visitor arc

I hear this franchise is very popular so I'm kind of surprised it took them this long to start adapting it again...but I wasn't really all that in love with season 1, so I'm not sure if I'll check in on Tatsuya and Miyuki's newest adventures :uhoh:.

Eh. Out of all shows that could've got a second season, of course it's this one. Yay, more explanations with no action.

The main joy of this anime (at least for me) is pretty much watching Tatsuya wrecking some bad guys (verbally or physically or both) and putting them in their place while everyone else is praising him to high heavens and the anime has no shame in highlighting that fact.

At least the show goes all-out when it comes to Tatsuya worship and it's not an isekai. Whether I enjoy it ironically or unironically, as long as the next season has that, I'll just sit back and watch it.

IIRC, season 1 came out in 2014, so it will have been 5 years between 2 seasons

and 8-bit is doing the 2nd season? Man they are getting busy, aren't they, Slime season 2 is also coming 2020

What arc SS1 end at anyway ?

Volume 7. Visitor arc is volume 9. They skipped volume 5. I'm not sure if movie was about volume 5 but they have a character from volume 9. So maybe not.

Only if the author stop slaking off. The last few volumes already came with significant delay and there are no news since.

Season 2 episode 1 is up at Funimation. I haven't watched it yet.
