Kenpufer (Kampfer) is shounen light novel series by author Tsukiji Toshihiko, the Author of Maburaho & illustrator Senmu.

With nice action, comedy & a very interesting love triangle, this manga is one of my favorites.

I have read the 3 scanalated chapters and I really do like it.

Its genderbending at its best, pure and simple:D

but then mysterious allure of the genderswapped Natsu-chan really pulls me in the most:p

The chapters so far are enjoying.

well not really that surprising as with only 2 manga chapters translated there wasn't much to go on, considering the huge grace period between each translation as well. This technically the is the 2nd thread, as the first one is the general anime one (which is more light novel discussion regardless)

it's entertaining so far, nothing amazing but it's a fun 'yuri' romp.

Well, it's not just the "yuri" aspect - the relationship triangle is going to get pretty complicated in the long run.



So, unlike other genderbender stories, this one is clearly more mixed, and very NON-dependent on the usual googly-eyed "onee-samaaaaa" adoration type shoujo-ai. Pretty enjoyable indeed!

Hot gender bender > Cute gender bender.

Had to remind myself that Natsuru's a guy. BTW, Akane pissed off form FTW.

Chapter 4 scans is out a little action going on in this one and Natsuru kinda pretty much saved Akane in this chapter.

... I'm a bit disappointed Sakura likes Girl!Natsuru.

Note that I'm emphasizing Girl!Natsuru here.

And hey, Sakura's _DETERMINED_ pursuit of female|Natsuru is one of the major selling points of the story to me. How often does it happen that one of the prettiest girls in a show aggressively and openly and explicitly pursues another lead (who we even know to share the sentiment), but "unsuccessfully"? I find that pretty refreshing.

Side comment: One minor inaccuracy in the translation: When Natsuru's friend (the head of the Bishoujo Research Club) yelled at him, it wasn't about "the two girls representing the school" visiting him, but about "the two top beauties of the school" ;)

Oh never mind..... i don't know where did i get that idea from....

Is it possible that the plushie company was trying to get sakura as a kampfer, except she went and gave them away as presents... puts one knife, one gun, and one magic in a team in the same school... cue the opposing kampfers?

This was one series where I really really didn't want to look at RAWS but when I spied the 2 vols I completely caved in and went for a peek!

Only thing I can say is I've completely fallen for Natsuru-chan:eyespin:
Well I love all the characters here but Natsuru-chan takes the lead simply cause of the little ending in Vol 2

This for me is def a fav manga right up there with Sekirei and Sekirei is like at the top!:D

Just finished reading all 4 chapters. Enjoyed every second of it.

The only thing that has disappointed me is that after 4 chapters, we really don't know what the plot is. Why are the Kampfer's fighting each other?

I also have a feeling that Shizuku will switch sides. Even though her bracelet is the opponent colour, she's childhood friends with Sakura. I can't seem her and Natsuru fighting it out and killing each other with Sakura in the middle.

My favourite character has to be Natsuru and Akane. I love the gender changing as it adds so much comedy to the manga. Akane's aggressive form is also hilarious.

Oops, forgot to add: Looks at avatar, looks at Shizuku ... I like her weapon. :)
